Generative Art Foundation Day - Oct 21, 2026 We're 30 days out from Generative Art Foundation Day in Marfa! And we're excited to share the schedule with you. If you've already RSVPed, thank you. If not, please do so here: genartfoundation.org/marfa20… Morning – Hike or Gallery Tour 10:00 AM - Meet at Hotel St. George. We'll gather to get organized before splitting into one of two morning activities. Details on how to sign up will follow. Option 1: Desert Hike at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center (CDRI) A moderately strenuous two-hour guided hike, with the option to explore the botanical garden on your own afterward. Shared transportation is about 30 minutes each way; guests will return to Marfa around 1:30 PM. Option 2: Marfa Gallery Tour A 90-minute guided walking tour of four spaces: the Donald Judd art studio, Ballroom Marfa, Rule Gallery, and Veldt Gallery. The tour wraps up around 12:00 PM. Lunch is on your own in town. Afternoon & Evening - Crowley Theater 3:00–4:00 PM - Welcome Reception & Happy Hour Have a drink and mingle with fellow guests. 4:00–5:00 PM - Film Screening & Talk Learn more about GAF, watch the Emergence in Marfa trailer and a preview of Generative, then join a Q&A with the directors about their GAF-supported projects. 5:00–6:00 PM - Intermission Return to the lobby for another round of refreshments and conversation. 6:00–7:00 PM - Art Auction A live auction to benefit GAF, hosted by Benny Redbeard.
