Very happy to add Neural Fad #44 by @emikusano to the collection. 🩷🐙 Emi Kusano is one of Japan’s most visible artists working with AI today. She taught at Tokyo University of the Arts, serves on Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs copyright committee and was selected as a @wef Young Global Leader in 2025. Neural Fad was Emi’s first major AI series — just 100 works, released with @brtmoments Tokyo in 2023. It marks the beginning of her AI practice and reimagines Japanese street-fashion memories of a past that never existed. Especially fitting, as Emi herself photographed Harajuku street fashion as a teenager. What really surprised me: 72% unique ownership and a current floor-implied collection value of only around $43k. For such an early and important body of work, that feels almost absurdly small. Welcome home, #44. 🖤

I’ve never been very good at being told what not to buy. 😏 So naturally, I just collected two 1/1s by @dontbuy_ on @SuperRare : “Painter” & “Press F1” 😁 I’ve been increasingly fascinated by his strange universe somewhere between painting, early computing, glitches, AI and our relationship with machines. And there’s a nice circle closing here: we’re currently showing another work by don’t buy in our exhibition at @fundacion_paiz in Guatemala. Full credit to @BnoiitC , who was the one who brought don’t buy into our curatorial conversation for Guatemala in the first place. 🙏 Sometimes curating leads to collecting. Just added “Lady with Pomeranian" from 2022 by @pascalboyart to my collection. 😎 I discovered the Lady through @BnoiitC while working on our exhibition in Guatemala at @fundacion_paiz , where this work will also be shown. Pascal is one of the early pioneers of crypto art: coming from painting and street art, he started integrating Bitcoin into his murals as early as 2017 and began tokenizing his street works as NFTs in 2019. Lady with Pomeranian continues that bridge between physical and digital art: an oil painting accompanied by 7 different digital series of 7 NFTs each — 49 editions in total — plus a unique 1/1. Mine is from the TV Screen Edition. Really happy to finally add a PBOY to the collection. 🖤

Couldn’t resist another Atlas by @justinaversano . Namibia. 🇳🇦 Other works from the collection are currently on display at @fundacion_paiz in Guatemala City. This one feels especially personal to me. I travelled through Namibia many years ago, and the country has stayed close to us ever since. I simply find the image incredibly beautiful — the quietness, the gaze, and especially the colors. The pale sky, the warm sand tones, the emptiness in the background instantly reminded me of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei — that almost surreal Namibian landscape of orange dunes, white clay and those solitary dead trees. And that brings me back to what fascinates me so much about Justin Aversano´s Atlas: How much of what we think a country “looks like” comes from reality — and how much from memory, projection and cultural imagery? The AI creates its own idea of Namibia from the visual world we have collectively produced. And while looking at it, I realize that I’m doing exactly the same thing through my own memories of the country. Maybe that’s why this one felt so immediate to me. I’m even thinking of having it printed on aluminium and giving it to my wife. ❤️🇳🇦 Some digital works simply deserve to become physical. ;-)
