Broadcom’s Tan said AI model developers need to find customers that can generate returns from deploying the technology, rather than relying on users who are now “wasting money” on tokens as they experiment with AI.
“When you are a kid you go to a video arcade, you play. Your parents give you $10 of tokens, you finish it in 10 minutes and you haven’t learned anything,” he said. “That’s what happening in enterprises today.”

My sister's longtime dentist practice got bought out by a private equity-backed dental group four months ago.
Same office. Same hygienists. Same chairs. Zero new equipment.
Last week they sent the new fee schedule for anyone with insurance.
A routine cleaning that used to run $120 is now billed at $310, with the group quietly dropping several insurance plans they used to accept.
When patients asked why, the new regional manager gave a scripted line about "aligning with market standards."
Private equity figured out the same trick everywhere.
They're buying up the things you can't opt out of: dental, veterinary care, urgent care, hospice, because they know you can't just skip your kid's cavity or your dog's surgery.
This isn't inflation. It's leveraged debt getting loaded onto places you have no choice but to keep paying.

A gilded statue of Donald Trump titled "Orange Plague," also known as "King of Injustice," is on display this week inside the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
Danish artist Jens Galschiøt was invited to show the work by Danish MEP Per Clausen. The copper sculpture, covered in 23-karat gold leaf and standing about 2.6 meters (8.5 feet), depicts a naked Trump seated on the shoulders of a much smaller, clothed man. He holds the scales of justice in one hand and a golf club in the other, beside a golf ball shaped like the Earth.
The plinth reads: "I am sitting on the back of a man. He is sinking under my burden. I will do anything to help him. Except stepping down from his back."
Galschiøt says the piece was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's "The Emperor's New Clothes," the story of a vain ruler whose subjects are too afraid to tell him he is naked. "Trump represents one of the greatest threats to the rules-based world order, democratic values, and our common effort to solve the climate crisis," he said. "We must address this issue and stand together against such destructive influence."

His performance as a president is totally consistent with his former life as a person who busted businesses 6 times, was secretly bailed out by his billionaires father and then he tricked all his family to get 100% of the inheritance when his father turned senile. He has been here before, often acting rich & confident while he owes hundreds of millions of $ to others.
It is gross for a rich person to run after money using POTUS power; US gov is full with conflict of interest rules for even the smallest civil servants, but if one is POTUS then no restrictions apply?
His mother once said that he will wreck the country if he ever becomes POTUS. She knew.
His policies and actions will ruin MAGA base for generations to come. Everybody else already knew what kind of person he is and we have been watching our back.

As a Retired US Army paratrooper, pictures like these hit hard. Trump never had the courage to pick up a rifle and man a post when he was called to serve.
Yet he has the nerve to promote AI pictures like this showing him wearing things like Parachutist badges, and rows of ribbons he never had to courage to obtain. Anyone who has ever served should be pissed at garbage like this.
His father paid a doctor’s note so he wouldn't have to serve. But remember that for every one of the draft deferments, someone else had to go in his place.
A pure disgrace.
