Police reforms hanging fire since colonial days but what we get are a bunch of new acronyms, more lathis, coercion & control. By giving them more teeth minus a sense of public service we imperil the common citizen even more. A complete overhaul is required, but who’s gonna do it?

The tragedy of Indian discourse is everytime someone gets arrested for a so called "speech violation" there is criticism based on the political, social, religious, and caste affiliation of the person. The reality is the law in India itself is an ass. And the scope of what "hurts sentiments" and what is "sacred" keeps on expanding in India. And then people get mad at me for reminding that 76.7 IQ mein yahi hote rahega unless Flynn effect really kicks into gear.

I’m watching Indian accounts mock the UAE. Leave aside the cheapness of mocking a country under attack, the UAE is a close friend & both of us working out a mutual defence agreement. You worthless people are damaging a relationship that Modi has gone out of his way to solidify.

Hav Gajendra Singh, 2 PARA (SF), just about a month ago, was distributing sweets in the unit on his well-deserved promotion . Hav Gajendra, a highly qualified battlefield medic, rushed to the aid of an injured soldier. This was done without regard for his own safety, despite the injured soldier repeatedly warning him not to come closer. True to his calling, Hav Gajendra pressed on to provide life-saving medical aid and assist in evacuation. In the process, he was shot while performing his duty.
These are the men who constitute our Special Forces selfless, fearless, and bound by an unshakeable sense of brotherhood.
