Yesterday, at one end of the country dozens of victims were tragically murdered or badly injured when a man drove a car through the Lapu Lapu Festival. Meanwhile, in Montréal, at another Lapu Lapu Festival, Chelsea Craig, a chief staffer for @AHousefather, gave the finger to a festival goer. A request for comment about the incident went unanswered.
Anthony Housefather is the current Liberal MP and candidate for the Mount Royal riding. Ms. Craig is his Director of Operations as well as a commissioner at the English Montreal School Board. Neil Oberman is the CPC candidate for the Mount Royal riding. Yesterday his team celebrated with the Filipino community for hours in the rain. Mr. Housefather and a few staffers showed up briefly for a quick photo ops and joined in on the dancing.
They were welcomed and the videographer remarked on how everyone was dancing together, despite representing different political parties, during an election. Ms. Craig then inexplicably gave him the finger and stuck out her tongue.
Unprovoked aggression and hostility seems to be common behaviour among Liberal staffers and supporters. Is this what Liberals mean by their campaign slogan to, "Come together, build a strong economy, and stand up for Canada?"
