May be do nit start him for lack of enough training / games .. bring him off the bench will be more helpful in my opinion …
Well said !!!
🚨 Jude Bellingham on Trent Alexander-Arnold after Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Sevilla:
“After the game, I saw Trent sitting quietly while everyone else was celebrating. I went over to him and said, ‘Trent, what’s going on? We’ve just won 4-1, and you look like you’re analysing the game already.’
He laughed and said, ‘Jude, look at this team. The quality is ridiculous. You’ve got players who can decide a game in one moment, and sometimes I’m sitting there thinking about how I can make myself even more important to this team.’
I liked that answer because that’s exactly the mentality you need at Real Madrid.
I told him, ‘Listen, brother, don’t put too much pressure on yourself. We know what you can do. I’ve played against you, I’ve seen your passes, and I know how dangerous you are when you have space to pick someone out.’
But I also told him something important.
‘You can’t just come here thinking your passing ability will be enough. This is Real Madrid. Everybody in that dressing room has quality. The question is, what else can you bring when things aren’t going your way?’
Because at this club, you might deliver an incredible pass, and the next day people are asking why you didn’t score, assist, defend, and control the entire midfield at the same time. [laughs]
That’s the pressure here. One good performance is never enough. You have to keep proving yourself.
I told him, ‘Trent, you have something special. You see passes other players don’t even imagine. But imagine combining that vision with the mentality of someone who wants to win every single duel. Imagine opponents knowing that if they give you time, you’ll destroy them with a pass, but if they press you, you’ll still find a way out.’
And honestly, I think he’s beginning to understand what this club demands.
I also told him not to worry too much about competition. At Real Madrid, nobody is guaranteed anything. You have to earn your place every week, whether you’re a superstar or a young player trying to establish yourself.
‘Don’t spend your time worrying about who’s playing ahead of you. Make the manager ask himself how he can possibly leave you out.’
That’s the difference between a good player and someone who becomes important here.
Because at Real Madrid, talent gets you through the door, but your mentality determines how long you stay at the top.
And I’ll tell you something: when Trent starts playing those passes consistently and the forwards begin making those runs, defenders are going to have a serious problem.
They’ll be looking at Mbappé, watching Vinícius, tracking everyone else, and then suddenly Trent will find someone they completely forgot about.
I told him, ‘Brother, just keep working. Don’t try to prove everything in one game. Keep improving, keep demanding more from yourself, and make it impossible for the manager to ignore you.’
Because at this club, you don’t ask for a bigger role.
You play so well that leaving you out becomes the manager’s biggest headache.’”
The march to glory is on the way for this young kid … ups and down are part of the journey… Good luck Yan
