@anandmahindra @Mahindra_Auto LONG STORY SHORT I bought a Mahindra Bolero B8 for my staff from Utkal Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., Barbil (Odisha) and paid ₹10,91,000 in full. The dealership kept saying "all fine, take delivery." The PDI report was never shared with me, yet the vehicle was registered. When I inspected it myself, I found a misaligned bonnet and then far more. A 14-point independent PDI inspection followed. After my complaints, paint and body correction on a brand-new car came up. Each follow-up got me a new complaint number, and one was closed without my consent. Then the dealership offered ₹75,000 as "goodwill", refundable only at delivery of this same vehicle. I offered to pay ₹75,000 EXTRA for a fresh unit. 206 days after my first payment, the vehicle is still in the showroom, undelivered. THE NUMBERS - ₹10,91,000 paid in full - 206 days since first payment (27 March 2026) / 168 days since full payment (4 May 2026) - 24+ emails from my side, plus calls to customer care and senior officials - 3 complaint numbers: CF2700048215 → CF2700051620 (closed without my consent) → CF2700205465 - PDI report: never shared - Resolution: zero THE TWO TESTS THAT MATTER Both were done at the Utkal Automobiles showroom, Barbil, in the presence of dealership representatives, on my vehicle and on another Bolero at the same showroom. - AC: tested indoors and outdoors, 4 times. The other Bolero kept cooling. Mine starts cooling, stops within minutes and the cabin temperature climbs back up after ~13°C. It points to a compressor or compressor-switch fault. Recorded on video. - Paint: same instrument, same inspector, same day. The other Bolero measured above 100 microns. Mine measured 63.3 to 85 microns, against a Mahindra standard of 100 to 150. KEY FINDINGS (from the 14-point independent PDI inspection) PAINT & BODY 1. Paint thickness 63.3–85 microns, below the 100–150 standard 2. Chipped paint, colour removal and scratches in 5 places: passenger rear door (near inside lock), bonnet driver side, bonnet passenger side (near hinge), front bumper, tailgate 3. Multiple sand spots in the paint 4. Pimples and dimples across body panels (Mahindra later acknowledged rectifying paint pimples under the bonnet) 5. Robotic punching marks on the skirting, abnormally prominent compared with the other Bolero AIR CONDITIONING 6. AC stops cooling after ~13°C (details above) GLASS 7. Rear quarter glass code mismatch: driver side E2G, passenger side E6 INTERIOR 8. Steering cover near the key area not fixed, with a visible gap 9. Pressed mark and misalignment on the dashboard airbag panel, a safety concern that needs formal certification 10. Roof lining not fitted properly, at the back corner BODY ALIGNMENT & FINISH 11. Passenger door beading and bleeding issue not fixed 12. Rear bumper right side misaligned and bent 13. Rear door linings don't match on either side 14. Bonnet raised on one side, not flush, lining mismatched ALSO FLAGGED IN MY EARLIER INSPECTIONS (13–21 May) - Scrubbing and denting marks on the bonnet, which point to paint and body work done before delivery - Passenger-side B-pillar bottom lining damaged - Scratches on the driver-side door sill/footrest and on the tailgate footrest MY ASK I'm not asking for a favour. I paid for a brand-new vehicle, and I want a brand-new one. I have told Mahindra on calls and in writing that I will pay ₹75,000 extra for a fresh Bolero B8. After 206 days without a solution, I'm bound to post this on X. I asked for a solution multiple times and never got one. I own an XUV700 AX7L with alignment issues too. I never complained about it.
