Grassroots jazz has just made the second grant to Jazz 825 in Southend. Trevor Taylor has been for 40 years and this money **raised by YOU** will help to ensure that he can carry on his great work with just a little bit more breathing space, for a while.

If you like the work that I’m doing then feel free to make a donation here: grassrootsjazz.com It’s just a modest operation (for which I take no money) but for some of the 25 clubs that have been beneficiaries,it really has been the last chance saloon. Happy new year!

Berkamstead Jazz just donated £400 to Grassroots Jazz. What a lovely thing to do: help out other clubs who might not be doing quite so well. There are some really good people in this World. I suddenly feel quite Christmassy. grassrootsjazz.com

Here is part 1 of the documentary about the state of things in the world of UK volunteer jazz promoters. Perhaps seeing the reality of what these people have to do to keep our jazz scene alive will illustrate the urgency of the situation. Please share! youtu.be/u7zCJ0ne8hw
