Giannis Antetokounmpo had a “Welcome to Miami” party last night. It was hosted by his friends, family and also by his newest teammate Tim Hardaway Jr.

#1 pick AJ Dybantsa praises Davion Mitchell: “Then you gotta go play the Heat — you got Davion Mitchell playing you 94 feet. We played ones when he came to LA — real straps…it’s real straps…I’m happy I got to do it…I took a dribble back and he’s right up in the chair…he don’t foul I swear to God he don’t foul. Sh*ts crazy — a lot of people be hacking but he don’t foul…off-night.” (via @HeatDiehards)

The Boston Celtics had interest in drafting Ryan Conwell. Miami Heat traded up and took him instead. So that means Pat Riley stole both Giannis and Conwell from the Celtics in a span of 2 days.

Kevin Garnett says Dwyane Wade taught LeBron James on how to be a superstar👀 “Wade taught him how to be a superstar. Wade taught LeBron way more than people wanna give him credit for. He (Wade) had won already. He (Bron) didn’t know how to win — he was a young superstar who played with a bunch of B n***as — he ain’t play with no n**** like D-Wade…he (Wade) got Bron more nasty — he’s finna whoop Chalmers, he ain’t ever do no sh*t like that. He (Bron) always wanna be nice, dancing and taking pictures — you remember Bron in Cleveland before he got to D-Wade? Man D-Wade made him nasty, he made him a f*cking problem. If D-Wade not on that team — we might’ve beat a Bosh/Bron team…D-Wade was that big of a presence…” (via @kg_certified)

Gilbert Arenas on when he found out Shaq was out during the playoffs in 2005 and realized that meant more was coming from D Wade 💀 “I got swept in the 2nd round…. We thought we was ready for the Heat. We wanted that matchup. They was whooping our ass so bad that Shaq didn’t even come to D.C. he didn’t even show up. He was like ‘yeah y’all good without me.’ He didn’t show up for game 3 and 4. Nobody in there was like ‘HELL YEAH.’ We were all like ‘(sigh) more Dwyane Wade?” (Via @GilsArenaShow)
