Starshield systems are owned and controlled by the US government. Any limits on speed or usage are decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS. Starlink is a commercial service owned and controlled by SpaceX. Usage of Starlink is limited to civilian or defensive activities and cannot be used for offensive military action, as doing so would be inappropriate for a commercial company.

Now Elon Musk is calling for Alberta to separate from Canada. We don’t need the opinions of any more of Trump’s allies. We already have one as Premier.

No more hockey night in Canada on the CBC, instead they chose cricket. Slowly every Canadian pastime will be replaced with things that only the migrants enjoy. If you cant see what's happening here you are blind and brainwashed.

.@elonmusk - today (Oct 6, 5:37 PM) my Tesla on FSD ran a red light at S 352nd St in Federal Way, WA. Clip attached. No one was hurt. Sharing so the team can take a look. It was quite scary. I know Tesla's answer: the engineers who wrote that code aren't criminals. The person behind the wheel is responsible. And that's right. But the DOJ doesn't apply that rule to me. I wrote open-source code. People I never met misused it in ways I didn't control. Now I'm facing decades in prison. Prosecutors compared me to "a getaway driver for a bank robbery." But I never drove anyone anywhere. I built open-source software that still runs today - because no one controls it. Not me, not anyone. Elon, I know how much is on your plate. If you ever have a moment, I'd be truly grateful if you took a look at my case. I believe it matters for everyone building software in America. Thank you.

Chad with all the composure in the world 💪
. @CBarraford did amazing in the most hostile ambush ever and they couldn't even find a way to clip him to make him look bad despite doing the most; it actually won me over to the THORchain side of this "debate" whereas I was a bit skeptical before . . .

American an European friends, I’m so ashamed, but you need to see what France has become. Don’t make the same mistakes we did. The only peaceful solution is to send them back to their countries of origin they love so much. We cannot coexist. It will be them, or us.

Tbh comms is definitely one of @THORChain's weaknesses so I wanted to better explain the process of rolling out a new chain integration > chain code live This means that the code to support the chain is adopted by the validators. In $ZEC's (and $XMR's) the code went live with 3.20 in late August > Dameons live TC validators must run full chain daemons for each chain TC supports. TC has to wait for each validator to start their's up. > bifrost The chain must be added to TC's communication and transport layer > vaults churn TC's active validator set is re-selected regularly (ideally every 3 days). A churn is necessary for the new vaults for the new chain to be created. > have pool be active Once the vault is created, the swap pool can then be instantiated. It then needs liquidity to be added. Liquidity is kept very small upon launch while the integration is tested on mainnet. >then have swaps go thru well Testing is largely that swaps and the churn are working correctly. $ZEC is currently here. >make sure everything is working smoothly in production Only then is liquidity slowly deepened, which finally enables swaps to offer acceptable execution.
The $ZEC pool is now live on THORChain. The network churned and every node is watching the Zcash chain. @Zcash now has a truly permissionless venue. Trading is the next step. Liquidity is shallow for now and will grow over time, so trade with caution in the early days.

Less than a day after $ZEC went live on @THORChain, POL is already deploying into the pool! ⚡️ A strong start for the newest integration.
The $ZEC pool is officially live on @THORChain! ⚡ I've built a dedicated Zcash dashboard, so you can follow its performance from day one. Check it out: 👇🏻

Crypto's biggest weakness, CEXs and bridges, has been solved. THORChain is the solution. No need for bridges any more. And the only reason to use a CEX is for fiat on/off ramping. THORChain empowers self custody, where crypto is the most secure.
In the last 48 hours, @near_intents: > Detected and blocked stolen funds from an exchange hack > Got exploited, patched within hours. $3.8M lost, all being refunded CEX hacks (~$5B) and bridge exploits (~$3.7B) have been the two worst loss vectors in crypto. Refreshing to see a team take ownership of crypto's biggest weakness.

Bitget’s security systems identified unauthorized transfers involving approximately $351.6 million in assets Following another major security incident at Bitget we are observing Bitget Exploiter funds being sent to THORChain for asset swaps and cross-chain transfers. THORChain is decentralized and permissionless like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB Chain During THORChain’s May 2026 exploit, the attackers addresses were never blacklisted and therefore never prevented from swapping on THORChain. THORChain is permissionless and doesn't censor by design. Hester Peirce warns existing KYC/AML frameworks create huge databases of sensitive user data, making them prime targets for hacks, phishing and even physical attacks. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev just said we’re entering a crypto supercycle

Nobody who actually lives in Canada would say we need more immigration. We are up to our eyeballs with immigrants So it makes sense European Mark Carney is for more immigration. He doesn't care about our country, as he barely lives here anyway 0% chance he stays post-PM

Is a system that can make decisions centralized? Not necessarily! All systems, even permissionless ones, need to make changes, or decide explicitly to not make changes. Decentralized systems are analogous to democracies: decisions are made via the vote of the people. In theory at least, you can consider that every person has an equal say in what happens. Centralized systems are like monarchies: one person or entity decides unilaterally for everyone. If a decentralized network decides to implement a certain feature or pause temporarily, that doesn't mean it's centralized. If a wide variety of different entities are involved in the decision, that means that it's decentralized. But if decisions are made by the few without consulting the rest of the users or network, that's centralized! If we can't differentiate between centralized and decentralized governance, we'll purely end up with centralized, permissioned systems. Hope this helps!

Time to set the record straight: In May, when THORChain got exploited by 0-day in GG20 cryptography, the pause came from the solvency checker. It triggers if it detects 1 penny of insolvency. We lost an Asgard vault, 10 million'ish. THORChain could not simply restart because that asgard vault's keys were compromised. And, with the swap logic of THORChain, MORE assets would have been sent to that vault which the exploiter could have taken immediately. THORChain was dead in the water. After multiple months of huge engineering effort, THORChain was made somewhat functional again. It took another month or so thereafter to repair churning. THORChain is 100% permissionless and is decentralized. It is the original ethos of the BTC whitepaper.
They made $3M in fees on the Bybit hack Nobody complained Now $387M just got stolen from Bitget and suddenly THORChain can't help because decentralization @bitgetglobal CEO Gracy Chen formally asked THORChain to blacklist the addresses moving stolen funds from her exchange Her exact words: "Decentralization is a design principle, not a shield for facilitating known stolen funds. The industry is watching." @THORChain responded this morning: "A network halt is an emergency security mechanism… A halt is not a selective freeze of specific funds or an individual swap." Translation? There's no button for that Except we've watched this before When the Bybit hacker pushed $1.4B through THORChain in 2025, the protocol recorded $2.91B in trading volume off those flows According to crypto dot news that's roughly $3M in fee income Nobody called it an emergency 🤨 The "we're just Bitcoin with swaps" defense has a massive hole too GoPlus Security pointed out Friday that THORChain runs threshold-signature vaults controlled by validators Users don't hold their own keys but validators do Bitcoin miners can't touch your coins because they never custody them THORChain validators already have access Now here's the steelman, because it's legitimate: Michael Perklin, security exec backing THORChain, argues node operators only get a binary on/off switch So there is no per-transaction blocking That's genuinely the same limitation Bitcoin miners and ETH validators face That’s definitely fair But THORChain HAS thrown that switch before A full month of network halt in May 2026 after a $10.7M exploit hit the protocol itself So the mechanism exists AND it has been used Just never for someone else's money… So the reality is that when THORChain bleeds, it's worth a month of downtime When $387M from North Korean hackers runs through the pipes, it's a principle worth defending Same switch just different owner The fees clear either way

$RUNE nearing it's 2026 high of the .72 range. What an amazing chart! So much room higher. Small $230m market cap. Barely in the top 200 of all crypto. No one is on this yet. Green 7, 14, 30, and 60 days. Outperforming $BTC and $ETH by far. A market leader in the making.

$RUNE IS ALL ABOUT CROSS-CHAIN LIQUIDITY Different blockchains have different assets and liquidity pools. THORChain's infrastructure attempts to make native cross-chain swaps possible without relying on wrapped versions. #RUNE #THORChain #DeFi #Crypto
