Had a great time yesterday with the @Campus_Compact @uptousnews Fiscal Leadership Lab students talking about what running for office takes and why it matters. Even better? Hearing students' own leadership stories. I showed up hoping to inspire and ended up being inspired myself!
I come from a family that has a deep love for books and libraries. My aunt was a career librarian, and my grandparents even invented a new card catalog system for their own books (seriously!)
Partnering with @EveryLibrary on this was a special kind of honor and privilege.

It's a great idea, and if the DNC embraces it, they should be applauded for giving up some of their control of the nominating process in favor of trusting their voters.
And if/when they do it, I hope it's the tipping point for RCV becoming the nationwide standard.

Here’s what Noem said: “We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country."
That’s a statement of intent of a coup, to “liberate” a state from legally elected officials. Then armed men tackle and shackle one of those leaders.
Nothing about we are here to arrest violent offenders and support law enforcement. The declared purpose is to undo the choice of voters.
Nothing like this has ever happened in modern America except the insurrection of Jan. 6th, which Noem supported, including her support for pardoning those who assaulted law enforcement.
