My first tweet. This has been quite a year. Losing my beloved wife Miriam, my best friend for 38 years and soulmate forever, and starting to learn how to live life with only her memory.
Miriam left me with two pieces of advice.

Another amazing collaboration with @TheBlanchardLab! Thanks to them and all of our other fantastic collaborators without whom this work would not have been possible.
Our paper “GPCR-mediated β-arrestin activation deconvoluted with single-molecule precision” is out today! We use single-molecule FRET imaging and other biophysical approaches to explore the structural dynamics of β-arrestin1 activation upon binding GPCRs. (1/6)
ALT Schematic of β-arrestin binding to an agonist-activated GPCR in the plasma membrane.
1) Work for joy and intellectual fulfillment – but not so hard... 2) Continue our adventures.
So, in that spirit, I have arrived to share my joy and intellectual fulfillment with respect to our lab’s work on GPCRs and transporters, from single molecules to behaving animals.
