Europe is back in the AI race. Last week, London-based @Convergence_ai_ turned heads by crushing @OpenAI’s Operator. Today, they’re back with something even bigger: Proxy 1.0 - one of the most powerful web-based AI agents out there! proxy.convergence.ai Let’s dive in! 🧵↓

OpenAI is getting Deepseek’d again. @Convergence_ai_, a tiny London startup just built one of the most capable AI agents for the web. Proxy is outperforming Operator on every benchmark handpicked by @OpenAI. → proxy.convergence.ai Let’s dive in! 🧵↓

Just scored a cool list of 10 Japanese Bandcamp artists with vinyl records, thanks to #proxy. Time to dig in and expand my record collection with some fresh tunes! proxy.convergence.ai

Anyone else having issues with @vercel today? I'm on a hobby account, so probably shouldn't complain, but pages aren't loading and I can't deploy new projects from V0 for the past 3 hours.

I'm enjoying @vercel's @v0 more with every project. Today's deployment - an in-depth Product Requirement Document (PRD) generator: kjis6onfgrtwtbvl.vercel.app/ It walks you through the 10 most important questions about your APP / SAAS idea and then carefully analyzes your answers and produces an in-depth PRD in standard format. You can then export as a Word .Doc or PDF (PDF function still a little funky.) If you are a would-be app creator or founder, please try it and let me know your feedback - what can I add / improve, etc.. Thanks! Not bad for a middle-aged copywriter who just started with these types of no-code tools 8 weeks ago!

With all that bolt.new from @stackblitz has going for it - unfortunately, this single policy is what made me cancel my pro 50 subscription: "Q: Do tokens roll over from month to month? A: Tokens that are purchased as part of a refresh will roll over, but the monthly tokens that are a part of your regular plan do not." I did not see this until it was almost too late. I subscribed to the "pro 50" plan. Now, with just a day to go, I still have over 8 million credits to use - these will all just disappear and I will be charged $50 again. Not going to happen. Sorry guys, if we buy credits with a monthly package, unused ones should roll over. #ai #nocode #lowcode

My first cassette tape release thanks to 3 of the apps I've built with bolt.new from @stackblitz. skafiends.bandcamp.com/album… I created 2 apps for designing the J-card and tape labels and one app for calculating track lengths for my cassette tape releases. These were all created just by text prompting and deploying on netlify for me to use. I think that niche apps like these that can be created by regular people who need them - but who don't know how to code - are going to make up a lot of the use cases for this technology. The apps: J-Card Designer: j-card-designer-1.netlify.ap… Cassette Tape Label Designer: cassette-tape-label-designer… Cassette Track Planner: ubiquitous-chebakia-37e006.n… #nocode #cassette #bandcamp

If you're from #Maine, you'll understand. "Moxie! Moxie! Moxie!" Lyrics - Me. Music - "The Ska Fiends" ;) The song is like the drink - listen once, you'll probably hate it. Listen a second time, you'll like, share and put it on repeat. 🤣 #moxie #nostalgia

Thinks are finally getting wild with AI agents. I experimented with @Auto_GPT over a year ago - and was amazed at what was happening then. Seems there's been a quantum leap and now the solopreneurs are giving the the VC boyz a run for their money. Can't wait to try this one out.

Update: The daily news update feature is working! See today's fresh headlines here: wondrous-faun-ddaabe.netlify… After 24 hours I was able to hit "generate today's headlines" and get an entirely fresh news page. Yesterday's news cached correctly and can be accessed via "Previous Day" on the main page. I will have to figure out how to make this an automatic daily chron job next so I don't have to log in and run the feature manually each day. That will make this a fully automated daily news BBS.
Today was day 12 with Bolt.new and I took a deep dive into implementing databases, APIs, and authorization in my apps. I’m excited to share what I’ve been building! My Fun Concept For Today Imagine a future where the first settlers on Mars are starting their new lives. Communication across the vast distance between Earth and Mars is limited, and for now, they can only receive short bursts of data. Enter the Momento Terram (Remember Earth) BBS! wondrous-faun-ddaabe.netlify… Using a retro, pre-browser 1980s-style BBS (Bulletin Board System) interface, this app delivers small daily packets of news from Earth in a simple and clean format—perfect for saving processing power and bandwidth. The Idea: Mars settlers get a daily digest of Earth news headlines in an old-school BBS format. Headlines are clickable, revealing concise summaries that conserve data while keeping settlers informed. The Sysop (System Operator) can leave personal messages for settlers to send back to Earth, creating a unique two-way communication link. Implementation Here’s how I brought the concept to life: Development Tools: I used Bolt.new from @stackblitz to quickly build the app and deploy it on @Netlify . Bolt made it easy to spin up the retro “80s-style BBS” interface. Real News Generation: I subscribed to @Perplexity’s API, leveraging one of their Sonar models for real-time web data retrieval and processing. I wrote a custom prompt that generates a daily "front page" of 10 real Earth news headlines from today. Each headline is clickable, leading to a short summary page for more details. Headlines can be refreshed every 24 hours, while “yesterday’s” headlines are /should be cached for later viewing. Database Setup: With Bolt’s guidance, I connected a @supabase database to store: -Daily news headlines. -Cached data for past days’ news. -Sysop messages. Sysop Messages: Added a Sysop message bar at the top of the interface. Messages are stored in a Supabase table, allowing anyone on the site to read them. Admin Panel: Created a login-protected admin page (just for me!) where I can: - Add Sysop messages. -Trigger the daily news page generation with a single API call to Perplexity. I set up authentication through Supabase, limiting access to just my email. (Figuring out how to link the deployed site URL to Supabase took some trial and error, but I got it!) Challenges: Still working on ensuring old news pages cache properly and display when users click to view past days. Need to fix the navigation buttons so they stop gracefully when there’s no more data to display. Reflection: This project has been incredibly fun and a great learning experience. Thanks to Bolt.new and Supabase, I’ve been able to: - Understand how databases, tables, and user authentication work in practice with the "no-code" approach. -Explore API integration and caching strategies to make more robust and useful apps. Not bad for a middle-aged guy (50) who doesn’t code, right? Super excited to keep improving this concept and see where it leads! Thanks also to @sulco and @dshukertjr - the youtube videos are so helpful!
