This summit truly would not have been possible without ETHGas’s support.
What @ETHGasOfficial is bringing to the table is incredibly significant, and I believe it has tremendous potential to move the entire ecosystem forward.
We’re genuinely grateful for your support🙏

Since many people are learning about effective altruism, it's worth learning about Mozi, the ancient Chinese philosopher who was surprisingly close to being a proto-effective-altruist (particularly the global-health-focused variety, not the AI-risk-focused variety).
He valued the twin goals of (i) universal love, loving everyone and not just yourself and people similar or close to you, and (ii) being efficient about how you use your limited resources to most effectively help people.

Virtual Asset Legislation and Institutional Participation focused on the risks and opportunities surrounding institutional participation.
Digital Asset Custody examined the custody needs of institutional participants.
Private vs. Public Chains explored the key decision axes institutions face when choosing between blockchain models.

Virtual asset legislation sets the conditions under which institutions can participate. The challenge is protecting users and market integrity without making compliant products impossible to build.
At ETHTaipei’s Institution Day, “Virtual Asset Legislation and Institutional Participation: Risks and Opportunities” brings together five legal and policy practitioners with experience across government, finance, crypto, and technology regulation.
Moderator Jason Lai @Jasonjlai, Legal Builder at PIF12, works across Web3 regulation, cross-border legal strategy, and emerging technology.
殷玉龍, Partner at Tsar & Tsai Law Firm, previously served as a prosecutor for more than 13 years, with experience spanning securities law violations, IP infringement, anti-corruption, cross-border legal cooperation, and asset recovery.
Ernie Ho, former Senior Legal Advisor at MaiCoin and now independent, has worked in crypto since 2017, with experience across VASP operations, regulation, asset protection, risk management, and custody.
Andrew Wu, Deputy Manager at Cathay Financial Holdings, brings a business and legal perspective to virtual assets, with interests spanning stablecoins, financial regulation, and institutional adoption.
黃子庭, an attorney at Guoju Law Firm, works across corporate, securities, AML, and financial regulation, bringing a legal perspective on how VASPs balance compliance with personal data protection.
Together, they’ll examine how virtual asset legislation shapes institutional participation, from market entry and governance to compliance, consumer protection, custody, and product design.

AI has made scams cheaper, faster, and more convincing. How should the defense stack change?
Alex Murashkin from @CommonDefenseAI is joining ETHTaipei 2026. His work spans operational and smart contract security, with experience across bridges, L2 systems, and the infrastructure surrounding them.
In “Trust No Message: Scam Detection and Defense in the Age of AI,” Alex will break scam defense into two lines: catching malicious messages at the communication layer, and hardening the host so that anything slipping through can do less damage.
From rules and safe-sender lists to lightweight ML and AI for harder cases, the talk looks at how layered defenses can help Web3 teams respond as scams become easier to produce at scale.

Heads-up for anyone maintaining L1 contracts:
→ The Glamsterdam upgrade will include gas repricings (EIP-8037, EIP-8038) that shift state creation and access costs.
→ Most contracts are unaffected, but a small set may break or degrade without updates. Affected contracts rely on assumptions the new schedule changes, such as hardcoded gas values.
