I’m told Ohio Catholic schools have been working on various plans to leave the OHSAA if public schools force a playoff split, citing growing scheduling challenges. This would be a transformational change to high school athletics in the Buckeye state

So they are playing a Club Football game
Per, @Taylor_McGregor, they are going to start FSU/SMU at 9:15 EST amid power outage. She added that they’ll be limited electronics during the game — the clock will be kept on the field, no coach-to-player communication and no IPads. “They believe they have enough lights in order to play this game.”

Tough weekend to be a collegiate facility guy...
An update on the power outage is expected at 8:20 pm. Once power is restored, teams will have a 10-minute warmup period. #NoleFamily

Further proof all of this is a joke!
This is a brutal look. I mean they literally have Nike LSU polos laying outside the team room at ops for interviews. “Hey fellas wear a pair of nice pants and grab a polo from the hallway if you don’t have one. Prob wanna tuck it in. See you at court.” Simple. What are we doing here

D-I athletics right now: • UCLA: $219M cumulative deficit • Rutgers: $516.9M in cumulative shortfalls since joining the Big10 • Iowa State: $147M projected budget gap • NC State: $18.5M projected deficit • Dozens of varsity programs eliminated in the last year • New fees passed to fans More money than ever, still not enough. Fewer opportunities. Greater instability. This isn’t what college sports should be.

I understand getting rid of the actual staff. But the radio team? Especially when they are two pros . If it’s accurate, that’s not cool.

Breaking: Judge Sweeney of Colorado, who originally passed the injunction that class of 22’ players will now be eligible, has issued a statement. “I’m not extremely familiar with collegiate sports, and therefore would like to clarify my ruling the other day. I neglected to mention that the class of 22’ players must stay at their original school, and are prohibited from entering the transfer portal. That was my bad.” What a mess, America.
