Good morning? I remember when I was younger I used to say I’m going to give my life to the lord when I get old. However, when I turned thirty three my journey with Jesus started. My reason for wanting to wait until I turn old was I thought the fun I was having was more important than living for Jesus. I remember one time in 2014 I was doing ecstasy and drinking for 3 days straight. Something I did quite often but this time I had a slight heart attack and ended up in the ER. The doctor said my left ventricle was swollen or something like that. Well while I was in there one of my ex college teammates by the name of Larry Kendrick was patrolling that same hospital because he was at the time sheriff. He comes in my room and says “DB what the F*%# happened to you”? I was so embarrassed and afraid he would find out the truth. Well I got clean for 4 days after that before going back to my old ways. I brought that moment up to say when Jesus said “like a thief in the night” we only think of the end of the world. Well at least that’s what I thought but if I would’ve died that night hell was where I was going to lift my eyes. So, you see Jesus isn’t only talking about when the world ends Jesus is talking about tomorrow not being promised and we don’t know what tomorrow brings. This is why it’s important to get our life right with God. This also reminds me of the scripture what’s done in the dark will come to light. Some people know about these things I’ve been through in my life and some don’t. However, I’m not ashamed because these are my testimonies and hopefully now people understand when I say I should’ve died twice and been in prison for life twice for things I’ve done. 1THESSALONIANS5:2, REVELATION16:15
