I have 5 kids. I don’t give unsolicited parenting advice. And even when asked I tell them to take most advice with a grain of salt as each kid and family is unique.
But I will give this advice. Make it a routine to spend 1:1 time with your kids.
I started a little late with my older ones but have been doing it consistently for 2 years now.

Very bad take. You gotta connect and sometimes that means staying a beat longer on the small talk.
My goal in every meeting is to get a laugh or smile within the first few minutes.
Sure, get to business. Don’t waste time. But being a machine and not human is also a waste of time.
If you often think of FIFO as you’re putting away groceries and also find yourself yelling “CORNER” from time to time, it tells me a lot about the types of jobs you’ve had and the kind of pressure you can handle.
