Next week I am heading down to @IBM TechXchange, which I am quite excited about since I tend to like the more hands on events. There's been a lot of activity at IBM since the spring and while this is very much a tech event (which now also includes HashiCorp HashiConf as well) I have some thoughts on what I want out of IBM this year.....take a look at my video field note....

Check out my latest research on @Zoom and its new Unified Context Layer. Zoom is doing solid work making all those personal interactions way more actionable.

Yesterday, @googlecloud hosted the Gemini at Work event and to be honest. it had some really interesting pieces to it. I had been wondering a bit about Google's agent direction this year and the event helped me get my head straight. Check out my field note....

Thanks to Beth Bamonte and @marisala2020 for hosting me, @PatrickMoorhead and about 30 of our colleagues at the IBM Analyst Council. Can't share any details now, but I I will have much to say after @IBM TechXchange this month. However, I was impressed enough, I thought I'd share a little analyst BTS in this field note.....

It's too bad that @MongoDB made the news for the wrong reasons last week. At the MongoDB.local NYC event there were some really soilid announcements. I got the chance to take a deeper look at the Atlas Agent Engine preview and it's a cool way to help enterprise agents work with context and memory. Check out my field note on it below:

Is this posturing or the beginning of a negotiation? Time will tell.

And, just like that @typesafeai and @Nvidia start showing us that LLMs alone are not the answer. Also every time I think of Jev, I think
After seeing Salesforce announce a CRM focused AI model, I think we are going to start seeing a real trend in verticalized AI platforms and apps. @QAD_Community is a great example and go deep in manufacturing over other more horizontal competitors. I am particularly interested in the partnership with @nvidia where we see potential for meaningful AI efforts on the plant floor. #QAD #ERP #AI #Plantfloor
Today at Champions of Manufacturing, QAD | Redzone introduced Lynx Champion, an agentic AI solution built to solve one of the toughest problems in ERP modernization: understanding decades of legacy customizations well.

I received a number of calls from colleagues and family over the last week regarding the news about AI models and safety. While I remain very optimistic for the technology, I am disappointed in the response by the media, the frontier vendors and our governments. There's some real common sense things that can be done right now. Check our my piece on forbes about it.

Dreamforce is done and dusted and overall it was a great event especially if you are tracking agents. As usual, Salesforce had a lot to announce but my top 5 takeaways are in my latest field note. #DF26 #SalesforceAR

It's been a major challenge for enterprises to evaluate how well an AI stack can support different agents. This has slowed adoption forcing very long and often inaccurate bespoke methods to decide what to deploy and run. @Signal_65 has built a new benchmarking method and a first run of reports that show great potential in creating evaluations on god results vs. pure performance. If you'd like to know more about it and what I think check out my latest field note. And, thanks to @ryanshrout for the conversation last week post launch.

Kiro from @awscloud is pushing the envelope for improving agentic development productivity. Its new Kiro Crew is an open source extension to enable autonomous actions. It's an interesting take on agentic autonomy. Check out my latest field note on the topic.

What if you could design, build, test, and deploy Agentforce agents using plain language?
With Agent Skills and a design-first development lifecycle, you can. ✨
Start with the design, describe what you want, and let your coding agent help bring it to life.
