As an LIT in Brampton, I think this just the beginning. These numbers are going to increase.
I would be interested to know the amount of people that are in arrears on their property taxes. I would imagine that number has increased significantly
I spoke to a gentleman today, who purchased 7 pre-cons, his intentions were to sell them all via assignments. That backfired, and he has only able to close on 1 of them.

Rate changes don’t solve cash-flow problems on their own...📉🏦

I met with a long-haul trucker today that has always done trips to the states and back. He said he hasn't done a load since the end of June due to the Tariffs.
He is going to lose 2 trucks, 2 trailers and very likely his house. Not a good situation but very common now.
In Brampton, I am seeing a lot of young people still in their 20s with significant amounts of debt. Debt problems can happen at any age
Age shouldn’t hold you back - Doug & Ted share a step-by-step mini-guide on this week's Debt Free in 30 podcast episode to help you get out of the debt cycle no matter where you are in life! 📈

We’ve worked with many Ontarians who were surprised to find the CRA had taken funds directly from their account. 💸
It’s stressful, but there are solutions. Here’s what to know about how the CRA collects, and what options exist to help you move forward:🔗 hoyes.tips/cra-can-freeze-yo…
I can confirm. I saw the first writ of seizure and sale from CRA that I have seen in a very long time. I am also seeing a lot of bank accounts getting frozen and wage garnishments. CRA is definitely ramping up collections
CRA hit pause on collections in 2020 (can't garnishee wages if no one is working).
Five years later, that pause is over.
They’re coming hard: freezing bank accounts, slapping liens on properties, and hitting employers with Requirement to Pay notices.
This is an observation, not a comment.
I’ll let each of you draw your own conclusions.

Debt consolidation was supposed to make things easier...so why does it feel like you're back at square one?
If consolidation didn’t work out, you’re not out of options. There are solutions that actually reduce your debt, not just shuffle it around.

1 million+ Canadians will face a mortgage renewal in 2025, and despite rate drops – most of these will renew at higher interest rates 📈
Bottom line: when a mortgage becomes unmanageable, consult (for free!) with a Licensed Insolvency Trustee.
