What would that look like if it happened? Well, this was the last Mayoral race in Monroe. Notice none of the candidates have party listed. If passed - partisan elections would mean candidates would have to pick a party, then go through a partisan primary before the main election.

Secured bond set at $200,000. This means he can bond out of jail. In his previous case he was given a $50,000 bond and bonded out. He was on pre-trial release for that case when he was arrested for the mass shooting. /3

At approximately 6:16 a.m., Charlotte Fire began receiving multiple 911 calls reporting the sound of an explosion in the 1600 block of Lambardy Circle. Engine 2 arrived on scene at 6:18 a.m. to find a single-story residence fully involved in fire. Due to the extent of structural damage, a primary search of the residence could not be conducted. One individual from a nearby home was evaluated on scene by Medic but was not transported. A second alarm was requested at 6:33 a.m. to bring additional resources to the scene. Charlotte Fire’s Hazardous Materials Team worked diligently to control active gas leaks. Firefighters operated in extremely hazardous conditions, navigating structural instability, active fire, and gas leaks while working to bring the incident under control. The cause of the explosion and fire remains under investigation.
