Why are we wasting money doing studies instead of investing in the needed infrastructure in the way of under or over passes. At grade railway crossings should not exist in any sizable city and the fact we have so many in Houston is embarrassing.
A month after a Milby High School student died after being struck by a train on his way to school, Harris County has been awarded up to a $2 million grant to assess the safety of more than a dozen railroad crossings in the Houston area.
