Hey folks! We're starting to have some conversations on my campus about AI & writing; does anyone have resources coming from a specifically rhet/comp perspective for me to peruse and/or build on to facilitate that discussion? My initial searches didn't yield as much as I'd hoped.

I literally never thought I'd ever be able to buy a house, so it's been surreal. I was there during the inspection and eventually I just wandered around in the back yard thinking "holy shit, this is about to be OUR house." I would have killed to grow up in a place like this.

Now that we've gotten a POOL revival, I'll start hoping for POOL and Pool Kids to merge into my dream posthardcore band with a combo of emo, math rock, and clean/screamed vocals for even just a single EP.

I don't know if a game demo ever annoyed me into not wanting to play a game quicker and more decisively than the Final Fantasy 16 demo. The moment I stopped and uninstalled it was when I needed to hold down a second button just to open a standard goddamn door. Just.... No.

In addition to what felt like dozens of tutorial prompts, using a holdover from PS3-era game development (Door heavy! Hold button to open! We promise we're not loading the next area in the background!) when it makes zero sense from a tech or design perspective did NOT bode well.

I deliberately didn't hold R2 long enough several times to see what the game would do and it made me fail at opening the door every time. For a game designed exclusively around access to an SSD and featuring pre-baked lighting it feels like the worst kind of design throwback.

I'd considered tweeting months ago about how weird and relevant it felt for Senses Fail and Kendrick Lamar to be tackling fatherhood and anxiety as such prominent themes in their newest albums but thought that was a bit too early and a bit too on-the-nose....
