Last night enjoyed dark secrets and naughty laughter watching @CraigyFerg at the casino near our house. Sadly, he apparently is no longer travelling the land solving crimes. But he's still funny, very funny.

Tucking a scarf, holding hands on a swing, feeding the birds. As Cricket learns how to tend to her backyard friends, she is also learning how to care for PaPa, as all things in nature evolve. Papa also shows her not all expressions of love need to be verbal. #PitMad #STEM #PB #ND

If you can't afford to buy books, check your local PUBLIC library's website. See what digital services they offer. Those services actually PAY for the books they loan (like any real library does). If you wouldn't pick an author's pocket for change in person, don't do it online.

As a writer, my reason for any choice on the page can never, ever be "because it was convenient for me." There must always be a plot or character reason the compels my choice. Always.

Confession time: I am such a Simmer. It's such a unique storytelling medium and makes me think in new ways, which I think helps my writing.

As a writer, some things you must learn to do: research, write & revise. If someone else is doing it for you, you're not being a writer.
A strongly visual learner and writer, I often find photos to represent the characters that I'm writing about. It helps me see them as real.

Revision is a bit like a rousing game of Jenga while on a ship at sea in a storm. Pull the wrong piece and it all falls apart. No pressure.
Revision: the bold job of confronting just how much I am not the world's best writer, and doing my best to hide it from everyone else.
