Amazing true story:
On a pouring Sunday morning in Georgia in 2014, TunDe Hector hit rock bottom on the shoulder of a slick highway. Enduring a painful divorce and severe financial hardship, she watched helplessly as her fuel gauge dropped to empty and her car sputtered to a halt. She had a single $5 bill in her pocket, an empty gas can in her hand, and miles of cold rain between her and the nearest filling station.
Minutes later, Chris Wright drove past on his way to church with his family. Spotting the solitary woman trudging through the downpour with a gas can, he felt an unmistakable tug on his conscience. After dropping his wife and children off at the church doors, he looked at his wife, Carmen, and said, "I have to go back. I have to help her."
Chris turned his vehicle around, pulled onto the shoulder, and offered TunDe a dry seat. He drove her to the nearest gas station and paid to fill her container. As they pulled back up to her stranded car, Chris felt another quiet prompting inside his chest telling him to empty his wallet. He reached into his pocket, pulled out $40, every dollar he had on him, and pressed the folded bills into her hand. TunDe wept right there in the passenger seat, thanking a man whose name she did not even know before they parted ways.
Three years later, in the summer of 2017, tragedy struck the Wright family. Chris’s mother, Judy Wright, entered the final, devastating stages of Parkinson’s disease. Doctors informed the family that she had only weeks left to live and required immediate, round-the-clock hospice care at home. The family arranged for a private nursing aide, only for the scheduled caregiver to cancel at the very last minute.
In her place, the agency sent a replacement certified nursing assistant: TunDe Hector.
Neither TunDe nor the Wright family recognized one another when she walked through the front door. Over the following days, the family watched in awe as TunDe cared for their dying matriarch with extraordinary gentleness, dignity, and warmth. She spoke softly to Judy, prayed over her bed, and treated her with the devotion of a daughter. During quiet hours beside Judy’s bed, the family learned that TunDe dreamed of finishing nursing school, though she was currently locked out of registering for classes because she owed tuition money she could not afford.
One afternoon during a shift change, the conversation turned to how faith carries people through impossible seasons. TunDe began telling the family about the lowest day of her life three years prior, describing how she had run out of gas in the pouring rain with only five dollars to her name, and how a kind stranger had circled back from church, bought her fuel, and handed her every dollar in his wallet.
Across the room, Chris Wright froze. His jaw dropped, and tears immediately welled in his eyes.
"TunDe," Chris whispered, his voice breaking. "That was me."
They both removed their hats, looked closely at one another, and broke down crying in the middle of the living room. The woman Chris had rescued on the side of a lonely highway had been sent back into his life three years later to comfort his mother in her final days on earth.
Two weeks later, on July 9, Judy passed away peacefully. It happened to be TunDe’s birthday. Even though she was off duty and celebrating with her own loved ones, the second TunDe received the phone call, she left her birthday party and rushed straight to the Wright home to comfort Judy’s widowed husband and prepare her friend one last time with dignity.
Overwhelmed by her selflessness, the Wright family decided that simple thank-you notes were nowhere near enough. When they wrote Judy’s obituary, they included a special request: in lieu of funeral flowers, please donate toward TunDe Hector’s nursing school tuition.
They set up an online fundraiser hoping to gather $1,000 to clear her past-due class balance. Within 45 minutes of going live, the fund surpassed its goal. Within days, the story of their full-circle encounter spread across the country, and strangers donated over $34,000, enough to pay for TunDe’s entire nursing degree. A single forty-dollar bill given in the rain had returned years later as priceless grace when a family needed it most.

In its way this may be even more of a landmark than Duke Lacrosse, bc the @DMSabatini case is the kind of "quiet" everyday atrocity that so many men have had to deal with, often without recourse. I will never forget the girl in my class who, at the height of MeToo, said, "We want to protect women, but girls be lying, vindictive bitches, so you men need to watch your backs."
Even if our lives aren't destroyed—and Sabatini's was—we suffer psychic and reputational damage and can just feel helpless against a system steeped in misandry, esp. in certain realms (academia being one).

Austin finally found a homelessness program that shows some promise. Naturally, the City Council wants to hand it to an anti-cop activists to stop it.
No Wrong Door is a program where cops trained in crisis response team up with medics and caseworkers to deal with the small group of people who keep showing up in 911 calls, jail and the ER, mostly homeless and mentally ill.
The early results, from the city itself, shows the highest-risk people in the program had 57% fewer crisis calls. And the officers running it haven't arrested a single client.
That wasn't good enough for the activist class. A few weeks ago, the ACLU, the Texas Civil Rights Project, public defenders and harm reduction groups demanded Austin pull police out of the program, or bury them in new rules, like requiring defense lawyers be notified before an officer can even talk to some participants, thus eliminating any means to actually help them in a crisis.
One week later, Council Member José Velásquez proposed a new "community advisory group" to help steer the program's policies and operations. He listed who should be on it: the ACLU, the Texas Civil Rights Project, the public defenders, the harm reduction alliance.
Council Member Marc Duchen asked aptly why the city would build an advisory board out of the program's loudest critics. He lost 3-1. Velásquez, Vanessa Fuentes and Ryan Alter voted yes.
The full Council votes October 22.
A police-led program might actually be getting people off the streets and out of jail, and Austin's response is to invite the city's most anti-police groups in to take it over and make sure cops can't do their job.

A trans-identified male stabbed a man with whom he had quarreled about his gender thirteen times in the neck and head and upper shoulder, killing him.
The bulk of this story about a trans-identified male killing someone with a knife is a long sermon on "how quickly violence can affect the trans community."
They literally turned a story about a trans-identified man murdering someone into a story about the victimization of trans people.

AUSTIN MAN with four family violence arrests throws blue paint on a customer’s BMW at a Dairy Queen that banned him -- capping a summer of shoplifting, fighting police, and trespassing at a church while prosecutors dropped case after case.
The Travis County Attorney's (Delia Garza) office declined the trespass case at the Dairy Queen.
It was Hallie Brooks' fifth arrest since June. He was out on bond for four open cases.
June: He asks to try on $175 running shoes at Fleet Feet, says he's going outside for a run, and walks off down the hike and bike trail. An employee follows him across a pedestrian bridge until police catch up.
July: He stuffs two bottles of wine, a hot dog, and an Italian sub into a pink duffle bag at a Royal Blue grocery that had banned him a month earlier. He holds up a hardcover binder to block an officer's taser, then tries to kick another officer. The resisting arrest charge was declined by Delia Garza.
Five days after bonding out, he's back inside a downtown church that had banned him, causing another disturbance.
August: He yells at customers and throws punches in the air inside a Starbucks, then walks out with energy drinks and sandwiches. Prosecutors dismissed by Delia Garza.
Eight days after that dismissal, he's trying car doors in the Dairy Queen parking lot.
Five days after that, he's booked into jail again for refusing to identify himself to police.
None of this is new.
In 2024, he was arrested for assaulting a family member, a felony because of a prior family violence conviction. A magistrate issued an emergency protective order. Brooks skipped court four times. A judge reinstated his bond twice. Then DA Jose Garza's office dismissed the case.
His jury trial for that case had been set. That same day he was supposed to be in court, was arrested for felony drug possession. Prosecutors never filed charges.
Three weeks later, he was arrested for trying to break into a home. A grand jury indicted him. DA dismissed it 16 days later.

We need to change the words people use, say left-leaning people across the West. But doing so is totalitarian. Behind the Left’s obsession with language & censorship is a pathological drive to control and pseudo-religions that treat the denial of reality as a moral imperative.

Ludwig von Mises was born 145 years ago today. Here’s what the Austrian economist had to say about socialism:
“The champions of socialism call themselves progressives, but they recommend a system which is characterized by rigid observance of routine and by a resistance to every kind of improvement.
They call themselves liberals, but they are intent upon abolishing liberty. They call themselves democrats, but they yearn for dictatorship. They call themselves revolutionaries, but they want to make the government omnipotent.
They promise the blessings of the Garden of Eden, but they plan to transform the world into a gigantic post office. Every man but one a subordinate clerk in a bureau.”

THIS is the part that should make people furious.
Dr. Idris Evans dedicated his career to saving critically ill children.
Now he is dead, his wife is critically injured, and their two children have been left traumatized after an attack inside the place they should have been safest—their own home.
Police arrested 32-year-old Elijah Hemingway and charged him with criminal homicide, attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault and other offenses.
But here’s the part I cannot get past:
Hemingway was reportedly already OUT on non-monetary bail in an unrelated burglary case.
How many times are families supposed to pay the price when someone accused of a crime is released back onto the streets?
Gina Evans was stabbed and STILL managed to get her 8- and 12-year-old children out of that house alive.
Those children escaped physically unharmed—but they lost their father and watched their mother fight for her life.
Dr. Evans spent his life trying to save other people's children.
Who was protecting his?
Pray for Gina and those babies. 🙏🏻💔

I legitimately can't stand the lies. Transgender activist Andrea James is upset that @DavidMastio's op-ed was featured on The Boston Globe's front page.
"There is a longstanding journalistic convention that newspapers generally keep opinion columns...off the front page."
That just...isn't true.
Here are the current front pages of the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal.
Look at those opinion columns!
These people just lie with every breath. About literally everything. It drives me absolutely BONKERS. 😵💫

You see, when you make note of the fact that violence against trans-identified people has gone down under Trump, (and frame this as a welcome development), that is "anti-trans."
Being "pro-trans" means terrorizing people into baseless panic over non-existent threats because it leads to more donations flowing to trans NGO's.

For penning her mea culpa, Hannah-Jones has received a good deal of praise. Well, you can count me out of all that. Her actions were morally indefensible and analytically ignorant, and her supposed metamorphosis remains invisible to the naked eye. nationalreview.com/2026/09/w…

🚨JUST IN🚨
DHS is fact-checking the claims made on the ICE involved shooting in Austin with illegal alien Wilber Rafael Garces Perez.
HERE'S WHAT DHS IS SAYING:
CLAIM: ICE refused to remove the bullet from the illegal alien’s body.
FACT: This is false. ICE does not and would not advise, nor be the authority on, a medical procedure for an illegal alien at a hospital.
CLAIM: The illegal alien had a valid work permit.
FACT: This is false. The illegal alien’s work permit expired in 2025. Furthermore, a work permit does NOT grant legal status.
CLAIM: The illegal alien was ordered removed in absentia.
FACT: Yes. This is why aliens must show up to their removal proceedings. Legal obligations do not end because someone’s address changed.
CLAIM: This illegal alien is here legally.
FACT: This is false. This person is in the U.S. illegally. He entered illegally under the Biden Administration. The illegal alien had no valid work permit, had no protective status, and had a final order of removal from a Department of Justice (DOJ) Immigration Judge.
CLAIM: This illegal alien has received no pain medication.
FACT: This is false. This illegal alien is receiving medical care around the clock, including pain medication.
CLAIM: The illegal alien has been forced to sleep on the floor.
FACT: This is false. This alien was released from the hospital and arrived at the detention facility just a few hours later, where he slept on a bed. Aliens in ICE custody receive a higher standard of living than most prisons that hold U.S. citizens.
CLAIM: This illegal alien was indiscriminately targeted by ICE.
FACT: This is false. This illegal alien was the subject of a targeted vehicle stop. What makes someone a target for immigration enforcement is whether or not they are illegally in the U.S.
Resisting officers and evading arrest is dangerous for our officers, illegal aliens, and the public. We remind the public that resisting officers and evading arrest is a felony and a federal crime. Sanctuary politicians need to stop encouraging this dangerous behavior that puts our officers and the public at risk.
This dangerous attempt to evade arrest comes after sanctuary politicians held webinars and provided resources and tips for how to openly defy ICE:
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hosted a webinar providing tips for illegal aliens to evade arrests at homes, workplaces, or in public.
Dan Goldman posted a video online calling on illegal aliens to make a plan for ICE encounters.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass issued multilingual flyers and online resources advising illegal aliens on how to evade arrest.
California Governor Gavin Newsom released guides and sanctuary laws advising illegal aliens how to recognize ICE, block entry, and defy arrest.
CLAIM: That ICE needs to get out of Austin.
FACT: This is false. ICE will not be slowing down nor leaving Austin. DHS is tasked with enforcing the laws passed by Congress. We do not pick and choose which laws to enforce or where to enforce them. We will continue to enforce our nation’s laws.
NHJ’s apology-revelation timeline doesn’t line up any better than her American *history*!😏
