If anyone wants to complain about the school Easter cancellation here’s the email address: adminoffice@norwood.hants.sch.uk Here’s what I wrote: To whom it may concern, I find it extremely disturbing to read about the cancellation of Easter celebrations, for the sake of ‘diversity’, at your school by headteacher Stephanie Mander. I would like to remind her, and all of you, that we live in Britain, which is a Christian country, both in heritage, tradition, and culture. We must first celebrate whom we are as a people, and as a nation, before we look to celebrate cultural elements of those that have came here to this Christian country, from other cultural backgrounds. The easter celebration is the celebration of the Lord Jesus Christ’s death, and resurrection. It is a key part of our British Christian heritage, and culture. It is not negotiable, I believe the correct course of action, would be to make an apology and reinstate Easter celebrations, and teachings for the children, in turn respecting the cultural beliefs, and standards, that actually have given you the foundation, and liberty to run the school you are all working in. In fact it’s important to note, that it was the Christian Church that founded schools in the UK, leading on to the education system. It is vital that this knowledge is passed onto our children, so they understand the ultimate reality of whom we are as a nation, and people.   My hope is that you rectify this awfully ill-judged decision of yours quickly. Our cultural values are of the utmost importance to millions and millions of Brits in our nation, and more vitally important to pass it onto the next generations.
