Lovely event last night in Topping in Ely. Discussed which Jane Austen novel we were introduced to in school, whether it thoroughly put us off or made us young fans. Of course we’re all fans now —or we wouldn’t have turned out on a wet night!

Talking on LIVING WITH JANE AUSTEN at Topping in Ely on Tuesday 15 April at 7 pm. I look forward to seeing what I 've heard is a fabulous bookshop!

Lovely event in gorgeously sunny Oxford yesterday-in the magnificent chapel of Exeter College. Good audience with very thoughtful questions. Also much enjoyed speaking to school students already enthusiastic about Jane Austen!
