Train No. 37 from Tbilisi is the final ride of #PraguetoBaku.

Arriving soon in Tbilisi with the train No. 805 from Kobuleti aka the penultimate leg of #PraguetoBaku. Will spend the next three days off the rails.
Leg 6/day 7 of #PraguetoBaku:
Erzurum - Hopa - Sarp/Sarpi (Georgian border) - Batumi; by bus and then minibuses/taxis. Let's hope all goes well.
Up nice and early to take the first guided trip on the Touristic Dogu Express. There'll be four including a full day trip in Kars; we're getting off the train in Erzurum though, so two trips for us.
It's gonna be a good day.

On our way to Ankara Gar on an YHT from Istanbul Sogutlucesme aka leg 4 of #PraguetoBaku. Touristic Dogu Express awaits us this afternoon.
Spent the night in Bucharest, but we're back on the rails today with the next leg of #PraguetoBaku. A four-berth couchette compartment on the 'Bosfor Ekspresi' from Gara de Nord to Istanbul Halkali is our new home for the next 19 hours.
Survived the journey to Istanbul Halkali entailing: 1) a 2hr stop in Gorna Oryahovitsa (Bulgaria) during which we may or may not have managed to get inside a what looked like a derelict Soviet-era theatre; 2) very scenic section between Veliko Tarnovo and Stara Zagora
3) passport check at the Turkish border at 4 am that took cca 2hrs; 4) arrival at Halkali Station 140 mins late. Still worth it though. Gonna enjoy a free day exploring Istanbul. #PraguetoBaku
Leg 2 - boarded the EN 473 'Ister' during rather a gloomy evening at Keleti Station. Next stop Bucharest Nord in about 16 hours. #PraguetoBaku
Some impressions from the fully booked EC 277 'Metropolitan' from Prague to Budapest Nyugati, aka leg 1 of #PraguetoBaku; +its @_DiningCar . Entered Slovakia, already 37 mins late mainly due to reconstruction works on some tracks, luckily it won't be an issue for us.
