I said I’d post sessions here, so here we are: Unfortunately had to ditch the attack v defence principles game due to numbers — the rest of it, successful. First session with the UoN Women’s 4’s, prioritising culture over technical for this. lnk2ssp.com/s/03hij/i/DKiP #Coaching

So, I’ve finally done it! Published a football session I created and used this week. Been fighting imposter syndrome and procrastination for the longest time - now I’m just going for it, so here you are. If of interest, take a look! Cheers

For this session, as is grassroots, 6 players attended, from a projected 6-8. Transitional drill (3) needed some adjusting, so as opposed to it ending up in a 4v4, we made it 3v3. Added in a goalkeeper too, so we had one team shooting at mini goals with a +1 in “buildup”

Will be posting more about this, and other coaching ventures here on this account! Keeps my opinions & coaching work separate — just so my views on Forest’s Starting XI isn’t mixed with my latest coaching session! Will be sharing sessions, reflections, and more…

Personal news announcement… Delighted to announce that I’ll be joining The University of Nottingham as a football coach starting in September 🤝 A dream to become the head coach of a team, especially at a great Uni like UoN. Can’t wait to get started ❤️ @JamieMartinftbl
