I've been building my Ultima 7 prequel for a few months but last night I thought I'd let Opus 5.5 take a crack at brining ALL of the U7 world data into my game and it's surprisingly fun to wander around.

An update on my Ultima 7 prequel project. I've decided that playing as a known Ultima NPC was too limiting, so the player now comes in as a different "Avatar." I've also decided on a name! Legends of Britannia. I've bought a dedicated domain if you would like to play legendsofbritannia.com
For the last 60 days or so I've been working on a @threejs based Ultima fan project in my spare time. I thought today I would share some of the workflow that helps generate consistent assets within @MeshyAI .
Originally I started by having Opus 5 help me write an extraction tool for all of the Ultima 7 game data, which is what this project is grounded on. U7's game data is stored in a fairly logical way so it was easy to extract effectively every single monster, object, tile, etc out of the game. This wound up being significantly easier than I had imagined.
This data was then broken into "Bestiary", "Larder", "Objects", "Characters", etc to help organize and keep each system manageable. We then generated a prompt for each object using the game data as a starting point. Obviously Opus 5 hasn't played Ultima 7 so some of these prompts were adjusted, using my own imagination as well as references from D&D monster books, historical documents, etc.
I then use Meshy's Nano Banana based image generator to create a set of 2-4 images from each objects prompt. Multiple images allow me pick the best of, or to add some mild variation into the world. One of the keys to consistent generation I have found is to simply tell it you're using it for 3d modeling! "Soft even lighting, no cast shadows, plain flat neutral background, centered composition, suitable as reference for 3D modeling. One creature only. No base, plinth, rock, ground plane, scenery, water, fire, smoke, rider, saddle, weapon, text or human."
At that point we convert the image into a 3d model directly inside Meshy. Meshy will render a super complex model, which we then re-mesh down to a manageable 10k triangles and then texture. From here I'll export a GLB or FBX file, and either bring it into Mixamo for rigging or have Astra with a local Blender MCP animate it. I've found that giving Astra slow motion reference videos will generally result in usable output.
The final photo shows our Mongbat in the sewers beneath the city next to a giant sewer rat, since we're in the sewer the entire scene is a bit dark. Using this workflow allows me to compress what was once many days of work down into about 20-30 minutes, depending on how much touching up the model and animations need.

I've started kicking around a vision for my new marketing site and got out of bed last night to put it together before the vision was gone. 30 minutes with Claude Opus and @threejs and now the site is live. mcqinteractive.com/

Thoughts on OASIS APP:
Amazing concept that gets caught up in sensationalizing half truths to go viral and play off people’s very rational fears and distrust of consumer goods.
HOW MANY BRANDS ARE YOU GOING TO RECKLESSLY SMEAR BEFORE IT FINALLY CATCHES UP TO YOU?
People spend years building these companies, risking everything. Then some guy comes along while fucking around in villas in Bali — I mean “coding with the team” — misrepresents findings he barely understands, posts it as fact, and moves on to kill the next brand like nothing happened.
At some point it stops being “consumer advocacy” and becomes reckless defamation for engagement.
You can pretend to be the authority on every product category on earth without ever actually doing the work yourself, but eventually reality catches up. Oasis App is Icarus flying too close to the sun.
The inevitable outcome of repeatedly tarnishing brands with misleading claims is eventually running into a lawsuit too big to overcome.
Original post is now deleted after 3.5MM views and driving the app to #10 in the App Store.
I have dear friends, new moms, calling me in tears thinking they poisoned their newborn because they were trying to hit their protein goals.
@oasishealthapp @cormachayden_ at this stage in the game, you don’t get to just call “my bad” and hope this goes away.
You can start by running apology posts to every misrepresented brand. Driving at least the same number of impressions as your rage-bait have gotten.
But that’s just a start.

AI is killing All About Berlin. When you Google something, you used to get a link to my website, but now you get an AI-generated answer trained on my work. This has a devastating impact on traffic.

The answer is a statutory cure period:
Business owner gets a shot at fixing the issue identified and lawsuit can only proceed if s/he doesn't.
This would fix the problem ~instantly.
Everything wrong with California in one story. Politicians pass "civil rights" law to incentivize lawsuits. Aggressive plaintiffs use one firm to pick on small business for ADA "violations." Soon defense attorneys pile in. Politicians refuse to reform law. latimes.com/california/story…
