Amazing stuff! Both results worked in our favour and we are promoted back to Europe's second tier as EuroHockey Challenge I runners-up! ##ehic2025

Gabriel Agbonlahor: “I didn’t like Martinelli running through, empty net & he’s celebrating before he puts the ball in the back of the net - he’s been rubbish for a month! He’s scoring a tap-in, it’s a lack of respect.” [@talkSPORT] #afc

Hockey careers ended, Olympic dreams shattered & years (& years) of nothing but hard work & dedication from all players diminished... Honestly still can't believe what happened @FIH_Hockey !!! A decision that will carry pain for a lifetime - heartbroken!!

Olympic dreams crushed, much needed funding and a massive opportunity to grow our sport lost. The enormous sacrifices that all the @IreMenHockey have made for years totally disregarded by an official who has sacrificed what exactly? Sport is cruel but that’s scandalous..

FIH rule 12.4 on penalty strokes. Don't know how you can say definitevely Lee Cole committed an 'intentional offence'.
Ireland captain Jonny Bell says the video umpire should 'hang his head in shame. A decision like that at this level is not acceptable.'
Strong words.

@FIH_Hockey Quite simply a disgraceful decision to award a penalty stroke. A sporting travesty of the highest order. Hang your heads in shame 👎

Probably 3 video decisions over the 2 games that were blatantly incorrect from the umpires there. A mixture of the umpires not knowing the rules and an incredible injustice of a decision to award a stroke there has just denied @irishhockey a place at the Olympics. #shambles
AFC legend 🙏 go well @_nachomonreal
