I am very happy to share that the Missouri Botanical Garden has received funding to digitize their entire herbarium! This work - made possible by an anonymous $14.4 million grant - will image and transcribe all 8 million specimens in the MO herbarium. @mobotgarden

Great talk by @SophieJago18 with @James_Borrell on Major trade-offs between conservation and wellbeing outcomes across Ethiopia’s protected area network. Worryingly protected areas have a negative impact on local food security. @KewScience

.@ScienceMagazine published a letter about #Amboseli #elephant trophy hunting, which completely ignored Tanzanian realities. Shockingly, Science rejected multiple responses from Tz authors: the local MP has published his now as a press release, but appalling this wasn't published

Amazing to see this map of all movements by reintroduced English White-tailed Eagles identifying landscape-scale habitat selection.
A real honour to speak about our satellite tracking of English White-tailed Eagles at this week’s @wteconference in Croatia. Great to meet so many dedicated WTE researchers and conservationists from 25 countries. Thanks to Tibor & @MikuskaAlma for a brilliant event.

Awesome paper - nature.com/articles/s41467-0… Trigger happy apomict splitters causing problems again... 'in comparing hotspot regions, the British Isles (850 native species and 368 endemic species) and Iceland (334 native species and 261 endemic species) stand out as anomalies...'
