Jeff Smith is a real hero. A Belleville Police officer who put himself in harm’s way protecting our community. Please pray for Jeff, his family and his fellow officers. Our community is behind you, Jeff. Stay strong. Keep fighting. Come home to your family.

Seeing a lot of chatter today about what armed conflict between the US and Canada would look like. This post remains the most likely and sensible take I’ve ever seen

The ABCANZ armies (CANZUK) was the only alliance that mattered in Afghanistan. NATO countries from Europe didn’t do much with a few notable exceptions like the Danes and the Dutch

Canada abandoned the combat mission in Kandahar because European countries other than Britain were unwilling to join the fighting. They’re not like us

This Gunner looks decent in her uniform and has chosen to serve her King and country, so that other people have the freedom to be ignorant on the internet. UBIQUE. Honi soit qui mail y pense
King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery King’s Troop RHA are covering the Life Guard this fortnight and already has a noticeable number of women and soldiers from different backgrounds. Not really a tourist or anyone's expectation of a royal guard!

Israeli soldiers protect women and children. Hamas terrorists use women and children as protection. We are not the same.

I remember a similar controversy when we were issued muskrat hats back in 2014. The US, Brits and Canada among others had recently killed close to 200,000 human beings in Afghanistan but by all means, let’s worry about a few rodents

Your thesis is solid. Canadians believe that wealth and peace are the natural order of things. They couldn’t be more wrong

The prevailing view of so much of the young left in America is that we’re the worst country ever, so if someone attacks us, they can’t be all bad.

So many of us remember where we were when we heard the news. The passage of time hasn’t diminished the horror of that day and the heartbreaking stories that emerged. The brave first responders who didn’t hesitate to ascend the burning towers. The courageous airline passengers who fought back. The coworkers who carried and comforted one another. And the men and women who would go on to serve and sacrifice in Afghanistan, so that such terror would never again strike the free world. Today, Allies for a Strong Canada remembers the nearly 3,000 innocents murdered by Al-Qaeda terrorists on 9/11, including 24 people who were Canadian citizens or had very close ties to our country. We pay tribute to the 165 Canadian soldiers and civilians slain in the Afghanistan War, where our Forces served with extraordinary distinction in the most intense combat Canada faced since the Korean War. And we reaffirm our mission to stand up for the values and way-of-life that our Canadian Forces fight to protect—and that the terrorists callously sought to extinguish. Today and always, we will never forget.

A “section” is eight soldiers. The word you’re looking for is “division.” And by the way, the CAF still has three times more General Officers than functional Main Battle Tanks

Today is the twenty fifth anniversary of the day I realized I needed to join the army and kill terrorists. Briefly looked into joining the US Army or USMC. In the end, I got to where I needed to be

The Canadian Armed Forces has roughly three times more General Officers than functioning Main Battle Tanks. Similar figures for fighter jets. If you don’t know these facts or don’t understand their significance, stop offering your “expert”opinion

1/1 I served ten years as an officer in the Canadian Army including combat operations in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Despite this fact, I do not feel I have enough knowledge to speak as an expert on matters pertaining to national defence.

3/3. Whether it’s the imaginary American invasion or what the RCAF needs for fighter jets or the required physical fitness standards for people in uniform; just shut up already. Rant ends
