Vocalink is live!
I built it because I wanted a simple way to listen to anything on my Mac.
Highlight text > hit a shortcut > listen.
Runs entirely on your Mac
One-off purchase - no subscription
I'd genuinely appreciate letting me know what you think:

Introducing Vocalink, a new Mac app.
Highlight any text on your screen, press a keyboard shortcut, and its read aloud from a discreet floating widget.
Everything runs locally on your Mac, so your text remains private.
Try it free: vocalink.ai

I built a thing, and actually shipped it!
Vocalink is a tiny Mac app that reads any highlighted text aloud. It runs entirely on your Mac, so no stealing your data 🤣
Free 15-day trial for Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 14+).
Give your feedback!

I'm not sure why, does anyone know why?

The Cynical Developer Podcast is back!
I stepped away from my Podcast for a while. Like a lot of people, the pandemic took more out of me than I expected, and side projects were the first thing to go.
Over the last year or so, I’ve felt ready to return.
Let’s get back to it!

Turns out, all those hours geeking out with tech stuff weren't just for developing apps & fixing bugs. I channelled my inner Shakespeare. Results in a tech poetry book! 🤪"The Definition of Done and other tall tales" I'm officially a published author!

Hey @TwitchSupport do you have issues with your authentication servers, I'm getting login errors in the mobile app, and on desktop it tells me the browser isn't supported no matter which browser I try 😭
How do I get this example project in front of the #dotnetmaui team? This appears to be a bug, unless Im doing it wrong, with Shell Navigation and its stopping me building my app for iOS and I need to get it finished and out ASAP. Repro step in README
