Val Kilmer has about 10 minutes screen time in Top Gun. That's how good he was. Top Gun was also released just one year after Real Genius, Val moved from goofy teen movies to the coolness of Iceman without even breaking a sweat. He was incredible.

This woman drove 40 miles to Uvalde, tried to get her kids out & was arrested in process. She escaped swine custody, climbed a fence, broke into the govt school & got both of her kids out safely.
