Fascinating how a planet with 8.32 billion people somehow has only about 12 main characters, according to the media. I would really appreciate some updates on the other ~8.32e9 people floating around on this giant rock. Surely someone in Montana is having a more interesting Tuesday than the same egomaniacal billionaire posting his radical ideas on the internet.

I silently test people by giving them opportunities and watching what they do next. Many take the immediate value and run. A few, like me, see the bigger picture and have the patience to see it through. I don’t interfere. I observe. Those few earn my trust and, eventually, a place in my inner circle.

Every decision has a hidden cost. ➕ One more project. ➖ Less focus on what matters most. ➕ One more trade. ➖ More capital exposed to risk. ➕ One more argument. ➖ Another hour you’ll never get back. ➕ One more commitment. ➖ Less freedom for other pursuits. Opportunities are everywhere. Time, attention, and capital aren’t. The real skill isn’t recognizing every opportunity. It’s knowing which ones are worth pursuing. Sometimes the smartest move is the one you never make.

Make your future self proud.

We live in an interesting era where confidence is often mistaken for competence. Speak loudly enough, look successful enough, and suddenly you’re an expert.
