@KamalaHarris was a generic liberal San Francisco politician who came across as such despite trying to swing to the middle. This was never going to appeal to the center. Trump didn't win because MAGA grew, he won because he seemed more practical to the center.

Though @BarackObama came through liberal Chicago he always seemed practical, like he was willing to do/say what works even if it didn't fit neatly into the Democratic boxes. Democrats would do well to focus on practicality, in action and perception.
