Iām Jamaro. Based in Miami, where apparently everything costs twice what it should. š
I own JJ Translations LLC, mess around with AI, make YouTube documentaries, and spend an unreasonable amount of time figuring out ways to make money.
Some days Iām talking business. Other days Iām wondering why a doctorās office can charge me for an appointment and forget to send the prescription.
Basically, business, tech, money, and the everyday nonsense nobody warns you about.
No rented Lambos. No $997 courses. Just figuring crap out as I go. š¬
One of my favorite little escapes in South Florida.
Something about the rain, the sunlight, and that tree made me stop and just enjoy the moment for a bit.
Sometimes South Florida really knows how to put on a show. š§ļø
I miss buying software once and being done with it.
Now everything wants a monthly subscription. Even apps you open twice a year.
At this rate, somebodyās going to figure out how to charge us $4.99 a month to use the calculator. š
Apparently an AI assistant helping someone sell a keyboard on Facebook Marketplace gave a stranger his home address and arranged a pickup without him realizing.
Iām all for AI making life easier, but showing up at my house is where Iād draw the line. š
Weāre getting dangerously close to the point where seeing something with your own eyes wonāt mean a damn thing.
AI-generated videos are getting that convincing.
I love technology, but having to question whether every video is real is going to get exhausting. š
Good morning, š! āļø
Itās crazy how much time we spend trying to make more money, only to realize the one thing we can never buy back is our time. Anyway, hereās to making today count without letting it drive us crazy.

Interesting topic for sure..
Anthropic says itās committing 5% of its shares to a public-benefit fund.
Thatās a pretty big move.
But when an AI company decides whatās best for the public, shouldnāt the public have some say in how that money gets used?
The US government is removing DeepSeek from federal civilian IT systems.
I understand the national security concerns.
But weāre entering a strange era where the AI tools people can use may increasingly depend on which country developed them.
Technology is becoming geopolitical whether we like it or not.
Companies keep telling employees to embrace AI and learn new skills.
Fair enough.
But what happens when the companies telling them that stop hiring entry-level employees because AI can do the work?
We might be training people for jobs that wonāt exist.
Hereās something that bothers me about the AI boom.
The biggest tech companies can spend billions building it, while ordinary people and small businesses still have to worry about borrowing costs, inflation, and keeping up.
Iām excited about AI. I just wonder whoās actually going to benefit the most.
Finally made it back to Miami after a productive day in Dallas.
Good trip, but thereās something about getting home, taking a shower, and not having to talk to another human being for the rest of the night. š
Every time I visit another city I start mentally calculating whether I could live there.
I havenāt even unpacked my suitcase and Iām already comparing rent and cost of living hehe.
I love how weāre all supposed to become AI experts now. Iām still trying to figure out why my phone autocorrects perfectly normal words into absolute nonsense. š„¹
One thing I genuinely enjoy about traveling is noticing how differently people live in other cities.
Different pace, different attitudes, different priorities.
Sometimes a couple of days away makes you question things youāve gotten used to back home.
Good morning š!
Flew to Dallas for a work meeting and somehow waking up in a hotel makes me feel like I have my life together⦠Give it a few hours. š
Being an adult is basically having 47 things you need to do, finally getting a little free time, and deciding youāre too mentally exhausted to do any of them.
Then feeling guilty about relaxing.
Who designed this ridiculous system? šš
Itās funny how everybody wants to invent the next billion dollar app.
Meanwhile, there are businesses out there losing customers because nobody answers the phone, emails sit unanswered for days, and getting a simple quote feels like applying for a mortgage.
Sometimes being reliable is the entire business model.
One thing Iāve noticed about social media: people will argue for hours with a complete stranger over something neither of them can change.
Meanwhile, you can ask a perfectly reasonable question and get absolutely nothing.
The internet is such a fascinating little circus.
I swear thereās a special kind of financial pain that comes from living in Miami.
You can have a decent job, skip unnecessary purchases, try to be responsibleā¦
And somehow your bank account still acts like youāve been partying on a yacht every weekend. š¤ š
Where exactly is everybody finding this affordable cost of living?
