Poverty increases desperation and social alienation. Feeling connected to the benefits of being a part of a society increases prosocial behavior. Disconnection from those benefits decreases prosocial behavior. Impunity and isolation from normal society because of extreme wealth can also decrease prosocial behavior. Some people are shits regardless of the situation. It’s a game of tendencies and risk factors. We all want to build a society in which people’s work is rewarded and bit of bad luck doesn’t doom someone for life. Extreme inequality makes that harder. This is all pretty well-trodden ground.

New in Claude Code: auto mode. Instead of approving every file write and bash command, or skipping permissions entirely, auto mode lets Claude make permission decisions on your behalf. Safeguards check each action before it runs.

Wow, I totally disagree with this statement. At the current state, AI actually amplifies the developer to developer difference. If you were a 10x developer, you had good ideas + architectural clarity, this is a brutal advantage when using AI. Steering is a fundamental part of today's AI development.

With one agent, I used to wait for Claude. With two agents I still waited for Claude, but not as long. With three agents Claude is waiting for me. I am the bottleneck. And the bottleneck is all planning.

Spend more time with people who see the world differently to yourself. (my annual self-reminder when visiting family for the holidays)

Sunday afternoons are for grocery shopping at the commissary….! So thankful to the Defense Commissary Agency for taking care of the military families and veterans in Hampton Roads and around the world (and I save an average of $2-$3 off my favorite Tillamook chocolate peanut butter ice cream when I buy it on base!) As we continue to work to lower everyday costs, protecting these types of benefits for our military families continues to be a priority of mine in Congress.🇺🇸

Your health insurance premium just shot up. Your groceries cost more than ever. Your electric bill too. And what is your President's focus today? Lobbying Congress... to keep suppressing the Epstein files.

When you publish your app to the App Store with iPad support, you can't ever NOT support iPad in future versions of that app. Talk about having to live with your questionable choices

I was unreasonably excited about this and what it meant for my zod schemas used with @convex, so I built my first published library. `npm i zodvex` to try it out zod v4 friendly schemas with convex ⚡
Introducing Zod 4.1 and its flagship feature: CODECS z.codec() is a new API for defining *bi-directional transformations* in Zod

Anyone who tried this before, please try it again! Many improvements to type safety in v0.2.2, and the docs are updated to reflect the same!

So... I'm actually pretty fine with my tax dollars saving the life of someone who's bleeding out on the emergency room floor. I think that's a good idea.

really not happy with ios 26. I’m at 4% and it’s only 6:30pm. Apple made my iphone 16pro a half-day phone and i’ve had it for less than a year.
