TIL: @cineworld have no way to cancel your subscription from their app or website. Neither displays if or when your subscription will renew. There is no way to remove your card details, and the information on their website about how you can cancel your subscription is a lie.

Some updates on the situation.
All of the support lines have been disconnected. Their email has been disconnected. Their contact form doesn't appear to work - no email receipt to show it's actually worked.
I was finally able to contact @cineworld via their Twitter/X
More below
I received an email from @cineworld saying that they cannot cancel my account until I pay for another month of Unlimited, even though it has been literally impossible for me to cancel my subscription before they tried to charge me for another month.
In short: don't ever sign up for Cineworld Unlimited, it is a scam. I will be contacting trading standards. 🖕
Thought I'd write some poetry (not something I ever do) and this came to me:
This is a haiku
Haikus have 5 syllables
Then seven, then five
Do people write factual poems? 😂

Secure a speaking slot by leaving a comment on the meetup event. Some space may be available on the day, but it's first come first served, so your best bet is to register now.

This is always my favorite event of the year. 😁
Now I just need to narrow down what I might show off this year. So many options! What can I fit into a 5 minute talk? 🤔
With @ffconf 2025 just round the corner it's time for our annual International Show 'n' Tell! 🥳

If you'd like to grab a speaking slot leave your deets on Meetup (more info over there).

Why do we still measure cardboard boxes & box-like furniture in liters? Nobody is buying cardboard boxes to fill with liquids, and when you're buying furniture, you care about whether it will fit in your house. Liters in this sense, are no different than selling pizzas in slices.
Looking forward to this, as I've had my own struggles with sandboxing code in the past. 😊
Next Thursday we'll be hearing from @chetbox about how they implemented a sandboxed javascript solution, allowing users to run javascript within their product. 🤯
