A tremendous day for education in New York!
Thank you to @GovKathyHochul and her team for following through on their commitment to opt in to the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit program. This decision opens the door to millions of dollars in additional educational resources and opportunities for students in public and nonpublic schools alike, without taking a dollar away from public education.
@AgudahNews is deeply grateful to the Governor and her team for recognizing the importance of this opportunity and ensuring that New York's children and families will be able to benefit.
A special thank you to our partners at @NYSCatholicConf and @TeachNYS for their tireless advocacy and collaboration in helping make this a reality. This is what can be accomplished when we work together for the benefit of all students!

Tonight, I spoke with President Trump and DHS Secretary Mullin about the shooting in Marble Hill.
I expressed outrage on behalf of New Yorkers and urged them to halt ICE enforcement operations in New York.
I also asked that any body camera footage of the shooting be released to the public so we can establish the facts and get to the truth.

New Yorkers are outraged tonight. Immigrant communities are terrified. And we are demanding answers.
There is still much we don’t know about what happened in Marble Hill. But initial reports indicate ICE agents fired into a vehicle with a five-year-old child inside. Any trained law enforcement officer knows how easily that could have ended in tragedy. By the grace of God, that child appears to have escaped without physical injury.
No child should ever have to experience the terror of gunfire, let alone wonder if they’ll make it home alive. As a mother and grandmother, I cannot imagine how frightening those moments must have been.
New Yorkers have witnessed far too many acts of violence by a rogue federal agency and untrained agents that operate with impunity.
Federal authorities need to provide answers, and they must do so immediately.

On a heavy and emotional day for many Jewish New Yorkers, moral clarity matters more than words can measure.
Thank you, Governor Hochul, for speaking with conviction, compassion, and without equivocation at UJA-Federation’s moving October 7 commemoration at the Museum of Jewish Heritage.
Grateful for your friendship and unwavering solidarity.

Let me say that again: #1 in the nation.

Chag Sukkot Sameach, New York!
More than ever, as our Jewish community gathers to celebrate Sukkot, they can count on me and my administration to stand with them.
Have a peaceful, joyous celebration, and please keep the incoming severe weather in mind as you plan your gatherings.

The Governor has no control over the Board of Regents or the Dept of Education.
The Board is all legislatively appointed and they pick the Ed Commissioner too. Hochul has had no input on these changes.
Lawler, of course, knows this.

Thank you @GovKathyHochul for expanding EAP eligibility and encouraging to sign up, to safe on utility bills.
Did you sign up yet? Have you been denied in the past? Look again, moderate-income individuals and families now qualify.

Utility bills are too high and families need relief.
That’s why I expanded New York’s Energy Affordability Program so millions more households can qualify for discounts on their bills.
An estimated 2.5 million more households may now be eligible to save up to a few hundred dollars a year.
See if you qualify: NY.gov/EAP

Using the big stage to basically tell Long Island’s first responders and families he doesn’t give a shit about them.
He already denied NY’s disaster funding twice.
Trump: "We spent more than $2 billion in FEMA funding. You're waiting for some additional funding. I'm gonna get that to you. Now if Michael loses, I'm not sending it."
Crowd: *groans*

If we give them a couple more years at this rate, by the end of it:
