This confirms what I’ve pointed out many times on this platform. People really have no idea or completely memory holed just how much more violent life was for us growing up in the 80s and 90s.
UK crime was four times higher when Oasis first played Knebworth than at last year’s reunion gigs. The collapse of crime and safer streets is one of the biggest stories of our time. But one almost never told - or believed. My take on today’s figures: comment.press/lawless

A Sheffield Wednesday fan whinging about having to take the tram to a ground is a little on the nose isn’t it?
Glad the fans are being considered here. 5:15 on a fucking Sunday in a place that doesn’t have a train station. #SWFC

Marshall of the WRU blames everyone bar he and his Union for shortfall. blames the clubs who have battled on in the face of WRU indifference. The CEO must leave, so too Marshall if he lacks the stomach for the fight

While continuing to add to the senior leadership team on a minimum of £100k salaries (when on costs are included). At no time have any efficiency savings been mentioned.

I wonder what the cost has been of lost income from alienating half their fanbase through relentless permacrisis and an apparently unlimited consultancy budget

You will never see the Marylebone Association campaign for a bus gate on Wigmore St to filter out private vehicles and speed bus journey times. Never.
Oxford Street - your bus journey is about to take 8 mins longer after pedestrianisation according to TfL. Let’s see what it is in reality!

Reform, who have their own TV channel, are whining about our PM appearing on an independent channels 🤣 snowflakes.

The WRU have sent alert to smaller clubs of briefings clearly trying to justify their miserable threats to kill a pro team. You must have documented proof you are club member to enter & only two per club allowed. BUT! None of the meetings are set for clubs in Ospreys region. and one only in Scarlets region. wonder why?

After 3+ years of Tierney, things have just got worse and worse. The loss of a pro club might have been inevitable when she was appointed, but competent leadership might have avoided this catastrophic loss which has effectively driven the final nail into a pro clubs coffin.

Cost control, or lack of it. The symptom of a mgt team shaped by events, not shaping them and controlling them. Ultimately, when a business has costs out of control, like this, you don’t cut the core product you cut the periphery and noncore. It really shouldn’t be this hard.

Sorry, but the way this is unfolding is a terrible look. Refuses to talk to the media… except when it’s on his terms for his own weird agenda. Feels like he’s trying to be Rassie but I don’t even think Temu would sell this version. Sarries fans also seem to be fed up of it.

Standing in the North Terrace this season has been like being in a gravesite. Absolutely devastating to see how it’s been gutted for away ticket revenue. You can’t even watch the warm up from the Raven’s with a pint anymore because of the Dave Roberts stand.

If two opposing head coaches in the same game both get fined for being mad at the refs it’s a sign the refs were awful and the fines should be rescinded. Like offsetting penalties.
🚨 The NFL has fined Mike Vrabel, Aaron Glenn and Nick Sirianni $250,000 EACH for conduct toward officials The fines are reportedly in abeyance and could be wiped out with good behavior For context: Bill Belichick was fined $50,000 in 2012 for grabbing an official's arm
