Visited Palm Jumeirah today, a ~$10B man-made island shaped like a palm tree. It doubled Dubai’s coastline and ~78k people live there. Dubai sits in a sheltered gulf, so tsunamis are rare. Man-made islands are going to be a piece of building a better future.

Smart Glasses don't work for calorie tracking. Current SDKs + hardware have tiny batteries with 2-6 hour battery life and aren't programmable enough to automate capturing meals. AI apps are best for now. Pendants will be the best form factor for automating calorie tracking.
