Starting with 12.3.0, the weather radar will project scans in 3D space, unlike previous versions of X-Plane. This means that with the tilt function, you can preview the entire shape of a cloud (in 2D cross-sections, of course!) Coming 2025 😇

Finally I got the picture 😮 Snowy Durdle door in Dorset One of my most memorable moments, capturing this very rare image. The fact that we never really get snow down south and especially at such an iconic tourist attraction such as Durdle Door!

It's getting a lot better. Not there yet, but I've had more success in the last few hours than the first couple of days. Bugs to be fixed, but the real quality of what's possible with MSFS 2024 is finally beginning to show through.
We are seeing significant improvements to the capacity and access issues and are planning to gradually increase capacity while we monitor the situation. We are feeling optimistic that players will be able to access the sim and take to the skies. We thank you for your ongoing patience and will provide another update on Friday. - Jorg Neumann, Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator

Planned a full review of MSFS 2024 in the next PC Pilot. At this rate, we'll be hard pushed to deliver it. Like many I haven't got in yet. Either stuck on the menu or hovering over the airport waiting for the flight to load. Waiting for the next @MSFS_Support update....

The cat is out the bag…the first #MicrosoftFlightSimulator2024 previews are here. I played it last week at the official preview event in the Grand Canyon. In short: massive, ambitious and gorgeous. We will have a full write-up plus interviews in the next issue of @PCPilotMag

Beluga F-GXLI from Saint Nazaire to Hamburg is squawking 7700, indicating a general emergency. The quick descent to 10,000 feet may indicate a cabin pressure issue. fr24.com/BGA123I/37095a3b More info on 'squawking 7700' here. flightradar24.com/blog/what-… More info on cabin pressurization here. flightradar24.com/blog/aircr…

As Skybus, part of @IOSTravel, celebrates its 40th birthday this August, we visited Land's End Airport to experience a Twin Otter flight. On a glorious sunny day it proved to be a joyous experience! BUY PRINT: hubs.ly/Q02GlPSy0 BUY DIGITAL: hubs.ly/Q02GlPbz0

This is a rather lovely piece @LeadbeaterChris and a good read. Not surprised it was popular the first time round! It's shame that the Comet 4C didn't make the list - although the earlier versions had obvious issues, the 4C was loved by passengers and lasted until the early 80s.
Very rare that @TelegraphTravel offers a Part Two on a story, but the original version of this did so well that it merited a follow-up. In short: The world's greatest ever passenger planes; the ones we missed the first time around (but the readers didn't): telegraph.co.uk/travel/news/…

Had a random look at what was over Iceland flight wise on @FlightRadar24 and thought I recognised that callsign! Bet that's good views of the eruption @JTTsteve! (fully appreciate you might not be flying this one...) @Nomadic_OMD
