On Peru’s Independence Day, the anti-Boluarte protest movement continues.
But in Plaza Dos de Mayo, there are not a lot of people here compared to past weeks protests.
Protesters now making their way to Plaza San Martin.
Eventually they may try to get to Congress where Pres. Boluarte will be delivering an address at 11:30am.

An honestly disturbing story coming out of Venezuela that has not been covered a lot in English media.
33 men were arrested in a raid on a gay sauna in the city of Valencia and have been charged with “indecency” and “conspiracy to commit unlawful acts”.
Lots of police entering plaza now to chase people out.
A police used his baton to hit my backpack as I was running out with the rest of the protesters.
Protesters have made it past police blockades to enter Plaza San Martin and are remaining here despite a lot of teargas.
