Aaron Bernstine should resign from the House. Pennsylvania is better and bigger than this. Deeply grateful to the PA Building Trades leaders who stood up in real time, and for every single one of you who has since. We deserve better and we have to demand It.

You don’t actually need to apologize to Connor Lamb who ran his campaign like the centrist ghoul Fetterman is governing as. You do need to apologize to Malcolm Kenyatta.

Can I add to this? Because you see this in colleges, too. A lot of progressive communities have an anchor weight of the 5-10 percent of people who contribute nothing but criticism. Noire, in this story, is a perfect example of this. There's a real practical problem. The bar

Nobody in the "credentialed class" ever thought any American President could get the Strait of Hormuz opened. Dozens tried, yet they all failed: until now. Trump somehow did it. I never thought I'd live to see the day when the Strait of Hormuz was OPEN to movement of oil.
Every foreign policy genius who spent a decade collecting paychecks to tell us Iran was untouchable just watched a real estate developer from Queens reopen the waterway that moves a third of the world's oil. The credential class should be embarrassed into silence.

One day, Donald Trump will die, and his supporters will try to punish the people who say things like this.

The national round of gerrymandering was very publicly and loudly kicked off by Donald Trump ordering the Texas Republicans to do an extraordinary mid-decade redistricting to give him more House seats, thus heading off what was always likely to be a bloodbath in the midterm election. The Right's general political calculus was that the Democrats would cry about it but not retaliate. In fairness, that was a reasonable gamble to take. After all, Democrats have unilaterally disarmed from the redistricting arms race. New York gave up theirs. No California lawmaker has drawn an election map in 15 years. Democrats and their allies forced their own side to give up the power to draw election districts in many states (Colorado, Michigan, Washington) - most recently in Virginia in 2019. Then, the Democrats tried to pass national anti-gerrymandering reform in 2021. Every single Republican U.S. Senator opposed it, joined by Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, so it failed. But the Republicans' gamble failed, because they did not grasp that just as Donald Trump has changed the Right's politics, it has changed the Left's as well. Ironically, Democrats will now probably fight the mid-decade redistricting to a draw, if not a little bit ahead. Partisan gerrymandering is a noxious and corrosive practice on our democracy. But if only one side is interested in ending it, and the other is willing to maximally deploy it for their own ends, then unilateral disarmament doesn't work. It's awful that Donald Trump and the Texas Republicans put the nation in this position. But we've probably now seen the end of state-based attempts at ending partisan gerrymandering. The only answer is a national ban. Many Democrats now believe that the only way to get a national ban is to make the GOP feel a real penalty to gerrymandering. We'll see if it works.
NEW: Virginia Dems’ proposed congressional map would almost surely torpedo four GOP seats, converting delegation from 6D-5R to 10D-1R this fall. Still faces several hurdles to passage.

JD Vance isn’t this stupid, so what he’s doing here is deliberate and evil. You don’t just need “some kind of warrant” to enter a home. You need a warrant from the judiciary. He knows this. He knows they’re breaking the law when they enter a home with an administrative warrant. He uses the phrase “administrative law judges” to mislead. An administrative warrant comes from DHS. They are writing their own “warrants,” which makes them no more valid under the Fourth Amendment than if a random person wrote on a piece of paper, “I can enter your house.”
JD Vance: "Nobody is talking about doing immigration enforcement without a warrant. We're talking about different types of warrants that exist in our system. Typically in the immigration system, those are handled by administrative law judges. So we're talking about getting warrants from them."

no one buys you fuckers being upset about stuff like this. You voted for a man who calls women pigs and says some of the most vile hateful things imaginable. And that's the entire point behind Newsom's media push, you're just too dumb to realize.
Beautiful response to such a vile dig.

Democrats will be called extreme because some associate professor at Columbia who has voted Green since 1996 says some shit, but this guy dined with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago and everybody just shrugs.

Reporter: Changpeng Zhao pled guilty in 2023 to violating anti–money laundering laws. Why did you pardon him? Trump: Okay, are you ready? I don’t know who he is.

“He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.” —Declaration of Independence
Q: What did you mean last night when you said you were prepared to send 'more than the National Guard' into American cities? TRUMP: Sure, I'd do that. As you know I'm allowed to do that Q: Do you mean other branches of the military you'd send in? TRUMP: If it were -- who are you with? Q: The New York Times TRUMP: That's very good. Well, if you write it correctly, I'll give you the answer. But if I want to enact a certain act, I'm allowed to do it. I'd be allowed to do whatever I want. The courts wouldn't get involved. Nobody would get involved. And I could send the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines -- I could send anybody I wanted.

Imagine being a U.S. Senator and being so damn lazy that you don’t even bother to pick up the phone to ask school district officials if an anonymous Facebook post is true before blasting dangerous misinformation all over social media. What an embarassment.
An Ohio school district is correcting "misinformation" coming from the press office of US Sen. Bernie Moreno, who has been publicly accusing the school of allowing someone accused of possessing explicit pics of minors back to class. Not true, school says cleveland.com/lake-county/20…

I totally thought this was true and then Biden won and completely rejected neoliberalism and ended the drone war and bent over backwards for unions and everyone FUCKING HATED IT
Replying to @CentristMadness
Bill Clinton literally ran to the right and cemented neo-liberalism which had now time and again failed us and it’s why we have Donald Trump as president

“Abolish the police” is less supported among Dems than “stone gay people to death” is among Republicans but you’ll never see the later be called a Republican policy
There’s a lot to digest in Deciding to Win, but I wanted to highlight how toxic getting rid of public school tracking is with voters. Regaining trust on education means abandoning this idea and valuing excellence in education again.

Here are the words Trump doesn't want you to see: “When someone says, ‘Let’s impose tariffs on foreign imports,’ it looks like they’re doing the patriotic thing by protecting American products... Markets shrink and collapse, industries shut down and millions of people lose their jobs.” - Ronald Reagan
