Been dreaming of this day.
After effects but you don't have to know how to use it.
Just type what you want and get insanely good motion graphics.
Gonna be such a huge unlock for my biz i think

In less than 24 months there will be a clip of a high profile CRO explaining this reality to a (much smaller) room of sales reps.

no one programs anymore, but if we did, it would be good to know

Even when humans were reading all of the code, we still had no definition of what good code was. So much energy has been expended in a futile attempt to define that.
Does it work?
Yes...
Do the tests pass?
Yes...
Can another person easily modify it?
Yes...
Then why is it bad?
Because it doesn't adhere to the Liskov Substitution Principle. 😡

Feeling burned out with the current state of software?
@JacobBennett loved @_christinacodes' advice: Build something for you. Make something silly. Sometimes, rediscovering the joy of writing software starts w/ letting yourself have fun again.

HUGE unlock to understand code AI writes.
Don't one-shot features or fixes.
Have the AI write the most minimal working solution (often just a few lines of code), then build up from there.
Each stage in a discrete commit.
I can't overstate how valuable this bit of workflow is

Laravel devs, not every piece of temporary data needs a database column.
For things like email verification tokens or short-lived OTPs, Laravel's cache gives you TTL-based storage without adding temporary state to your schema.
Sometimes the cleanest schema is the one you don't change.

Flux now ships with accordions and tabs that use hidden="until-found" so that your cmd+f searches actually work 💅

This is life-changing tech.
We need less hype, and more stuff like this.
Imagine how many people this can help 🤯
Today, we’re launching Bland Speech v3 - The world's first Human Speech Engine.
In @designarena’s Audio Realism benchmark, Speech v3 is the top model, outranking Elevenlabs, Grok, Cartesia, and OpenAI.
Trained on over 100 million real, human conversations: businesses, developers, and creators can now create any audio they can imagine.
To showcase this, we used 5 seconds of old footage to help James, a 49 year old father who recently suffered a stroke, get his voice back.
Try it for free at bland.ai/speech
Full length documentary below🧵
A lot of people asked how I made my presentation for Laracon. So, here you go:
- @motiondotdev for animations
- custom presenter/audience view
- easily inline video, interactive demos, and audio
- docs so your agent can easily replicate core
- a lot of slop, enjoy

On Being an Elder
Finally took the time this morning to write down some thoughts I’ve been pondering lately about what it means to be someone in tech who’s been doing this for a while.
It’s a reminder for myself as much as anything, but I hope it might inspire you as well.

Laracon US is a wrap!!!
The biggest event I've ever planned:
3 days, 1,000 attendees, from 41 countries & 44 states, + 75 Laravel crew.
There's no playbook for an event like @LaraconUS , but here are a few things I did & learned:
