Saints versus Steelers (pun intended) is a little too on the nose for Paris right now.
Saints are scheduled to leave tonight for Paris, where they play the Steelers next Sunday at Stade de France. Despite intense riots and social unrest there, the NFL says the game is on.
“Preparations continue as scheduled for NFL events and the game at Stade de France next Sunday,” the NFL said. “We continue to work closely with local authorities and partners on all operational and security matters. We are also providing the two clubs with regular updates. There’s been no disruption or impact at league sites.”
From the Channel to the Sea, France will be free! 🥐 🥖
We call on France to exercise restraint when dispersing the freedom fighters on the streets of Paris. These brave warriors for justice must receive immediate humanitarian aid, and their safety must be guaranteed in accordance with international law. Failure to comply will leave us no choice but to bring a case before the ICJ, in close cooperation with that renowned champion of human rights, Afghanistan.

I hate to say this, but the French government’s response so far to thee outrageous violence, arson, and looting is simply proving Donald Rumsfeld’s famous point that “weakness is provocative.”

Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand? It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day. If the President wants to actually bring down energy prices, he can do it by solving the Iran problem, not by doing a solid for Vladimir Putin.

A woman overheard the couple sitting next to her speaking Hebrew. Instead of doing the logical thing (nothing) she decided to act like...this.
I don't know what's worse, the obvious glee in her face as she shouts meaningless slogans at a couple for speaking a language she disapproves of, the nasty, smug look in her eyes as she knows she's succeeded in making strangers feel uncomfortable and unwanted, or her innocent child sobbing loudly for a mother who genuinely couldn't care less.
And somehow she felt she was the morally superior one in this interaction. Absolutely horrifying.
As someone who has studied complicity of ordinary Germans in Nazi crimes, the line connecting chants of “free Palestine” or “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” and the Nazi concept of “Judenrein” is a direct one. Evil isn’t less evil when dressed in platitude.
Whoa…Abbas postponing an election. Didn’t see this one coming (said nobody ever).
President Mahmoud Abbas postponed what would have been the first Palestinian elections in nearly 20 years, issuing a decree on Friday to further delay voting for the Palestinian Legislative Council almost another year. cbsn.ws/4rVLDOK

Never forget Zohran Mamdani was protesting “genocide” just a few days after Palestinian terrorists massacred over 1200 innocent people in 10/7.
