Most boss fights fail for the same reason:
they’re just stat blocks in empty rooms.
Even great monsters feel forgettable when the environment doesn’t matter, lair actions only exist for a few iconic creatures, and prep time explodes just to make the fight feel special.

I released a free Legendary Lairs bonus PDF on DriveThruRPG over the weekend, and the response was way bigger than expected. It’s a preview of the Legendary Lairs GM toolkit, which is currently on Kickstarter with just a few days left. Links in comments. #dnd #dnd5e #ttrpg

How's everyone doing? 😃 I'm preparing a lesson on how to write the introduction to a nonfiction book. It's for the new self-publishing course I'm co-teaching and coaching at Ninja Writers. Feels great to help my students make money writing short nonfiction books! #author
This is the second 6 month course I've taught at Ninja Writers (Self-Publishing Workshop was my first; it's set to resume again for another 6 month run this October). The workshop sold great, and this new course sold even better. I love teaching writers how to succeed! #writer
