instagram.com/reel/DW4R8ztjG… Breaking NEWS: Moon Footage Highest Quality Ever Taken (by Adam) HOUSTON — A local astrophotographer, Adam Jackson, known as @adamkylejackson, is pushing back after a series of his space images were taken without permission, reposted across major social media accounts, and misidentified as official NASA Artemis II footage. The images, captured from Houston using personal equipment, spread rapidly online and accumulated millions of views. In multiple instances, the posts credited NASA or implied the visuals were tied to the Artemis program, with no mention of the original photographer. The photographer is now working to correct the record and reclaim authorship of the work. He has clarified that the images are entirely independent and not affiliated with NASA in any capacity. He also emphasized that misattributing the work undermines both independent creators and the teams at NASA responsible for actual mission imagery. The incident highlights a growing issue in digital media where high-quality independent work can be quickly detached from its source and redistributed at scale. The photographer is asking that future shares include proper credit and accurate context. This work was created in Houston. It was not produced by NASA.
