We found that in patients with AF, obesity and epicardial fat are linked to worse hemodynamics and a higher risk of HFpEF.
These findings highlight the potential role of weight management and HFpEF therapies in this group.

In AF patients, obesity & ↑ epicardial adipose tissue drive higher atrial pressures, pericardial restraint & greater prevalence of HFpEF
